Up Front Mountainview hosts concert

Mountainview Christian Reformed Church will host an Easter concert Saturday night. Tickets are $15 each or $35/family and available at the Dutch Shop or at the door. Proceeds to McNally Hospice. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m.

Seniors events planned

Grimsby Seniors Club will host its speaker series presentation next Monday, March 25 at 1:30 at the Livingston Activity Centre. Patient care manager at the LHIN, Tami McCallum, will make a presentation. There is no cost. Later Monday evening, Lincoln’s Seniors Club will host its potluck at the Lincoln Center starting at 5:45 p.m. Visitors can bring one large dish to share along with their own plate, cup and cutlery.

Garden Club meeting Monday

Grimsby Garden Club will host guest speak Victoria Bick at its regular meeting on Monday night, March 25, starting at 7 p.m. Bick will discuss, “A Little Paradise Unto Itself - Dundurn Castle’s Kitchen Garden”. Coffee and treats will also be available.

GE chair Delight Davoli informed council on all aspects of the operation from production to potential sale to significant administrative issues unearthed over weeks and months of research. Two former members of council who also were board members have been served with subpoenas to appear before the La-

bour Board to provide information on administrative matters regarding the operation, Davoli said. The hearing was scheduled for this week in Toronto. As well, Davoli noted that a former member of council, “was encouraging a potential purchaser to break the non-disclosure agreement and tell what was going on” with the process. “A letter will be going out to ask this person to cease and desist,” said Davoli. While there is very little information to go on with the vast majority of meeting min-

utes non-existent at this point, some small pieces in the puzzle of how the project got into its current state have been found. For example, while registered letters have been sent to all board members requesting any past minutes, only three replies have come back stating they had none.
