You can also prepare a portfolio for graduate study in architecture. Courses are offered in New York City, Paris, London, Barcelona, and beyond, so you can draw inspiration from and learn in global creative capitals. Constructed Environments course 5 week
June 26–July 28, 2017 / Ages 19+ Explore architecture and interior design or industrial design by preparing a portfolio for admission to programs such as Parsons’ MArch, MFA in Interior Design, or MFA in Industrial Design. Creative Writing at The New School Summer Writers Colony course 3 week
June 5–June 23, 2017 / Ages 19+ Discover the writer’s life in New York City in The New School’s Summer Writers Colony. This intensive three-week program provides a supportive yet challenging atmosphere in which to projects in a daily writing workshop moderated by a member of The New School’s distinguished writing faculty. Instructors also provide detailed feedback on your work. Participants can elect to attend daily sessions focused on developing the writer’s craft or join moderated conversations with professionals in publishing. In the evenings, literary salons bring notable writers such as Zadie Smith, Maggie Nelson, and Gary Shteyngart into conversation with colony students and faculty.
