Chanticleer Inn offers recreation on the Chain This week’s featured establishment is Chanticleer Inn in Eagle River. Located on the Eagle River Chain, The Chanticleer Inn was built in 1922. Second-generation owners Jake and Sue Alward have had a goal of providing nostalgic elegance with a variety of recreational and leisure activities to the Eagle River area since 1972. Guests can tour the Chain of 28 Lakes in a luxury cruiser. Fishing boats, boat lifts, canoes and kayaks also are available for guests and the general public alike. For sports and water lovers, Chanticleer offers a variety of options. Tennis, basketball, two beaches and numerous piers are all readily available. “Guests will not go hungry during their stay,” said Jake Alward. “Our menu will tantalize your palate with a variety of dining options.” Open daily, the restaurant features a waterfront main dining room with a menu that includes everything from the famous Chanti-burger to lobster. Roast duck, prime rib and filet mignon are featured as well. Featured nightly, specials include a Friday night fish fry and slow-roasted prime rib Wednesdays and Saturdays.
