New Ravenna is pleased to introduce Ville Lumière - the City of Light, a collection designed by Paris-born Caroline Beaupère. Paris was originally nicknamed the “City of Light” because it was a vast center of education and ideas during the Age of Enlightenment in the XVII and XVIII centuries. Validating its name even further, in 1828, Paris became the first city in Europe to light the Champs-Elysées with gas lamps. In this collection, Caroline explores both light and enlightenment, paying homage to the most beautiful stained glass rose windows of iconic Parisian buildings as well as stunning architectural elements that define this beautiful city.
