A SWEET CELEBRATION IN SONG: SABENA HIJACKING: MY VERSION Documentary, Drama, Thriller | 104 minutes Join us for the last film in the Cathy and Morris Bart Jewish Cultural Arts Series, Sabena Hijacking: My Version. Striking reenactments and harrowing testimonies combine to riveting effect in this true story of a terrorist siege that forever shaped the Jewish State. On May 8, 1972, the Palestinian group Black September seized control of Sabena Flight 971. The next day, Israeli Special Forces launched a daring operation to rescue the passengers and retake the plane. Sabena Hijacking: My Version provides a moment-by-moment restaging of those nerveracking hours. Events are recalled firsthand by passengers, newly discovered audio recordings of British pilot Reginald Levy, and an interview with the sole surviving hijacker. Also featured are future Israeli leaders Benjamin Netanyahu and Ehud Barak, who both took part in the raid, as well as Transport Minister Shimon Peres. Park Avenue Synagogue, New York Azi Schwartz joined the Park Avenue Synagogue clergy in 2009. He has performed in the UN General Assembly Hall, the US
Capitol Rotunda, the Knesset, and in Citi Field stadium, as well
as Carnegie Hall, the Mann Auditorium in Tel Aviv accompanied by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Rykestrasse
Synagogue in Berlin accompanied by the RIAS Kammerchor. In October 2015, Azi represented the Jewish people at the
multireligious gathering at the National September 11 Memorial Museum during the pope’s visit to New York. He has released
eight solo albums in addition to participating in other recordings.

DANCE FOR PARKINSON’S Presented by the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust We are pleased to introduce a new class offered in partnership with the New Orleans Ballet Association (NOBA), modeled after the Mark Morris Dance Group’s Dance for PD® program. Dance for Parkinson’s is a creative movement class for persons with Parkinson’s disease, their partners, caregivers and friends--set to live music. No dance experience is required! Our tiniest dancers will enjoy a fun-filled morning of creative movement and dancerelated activities including story time and crafts projects. In addition to ballet and tap basics, campers will learn appropriate stretches and develop their musicality through movement and rhythm exercises.
