Golden Osetra (acipenser gueldenstaedtii) is our most popular caviar, with a regal golden glow and a fantastically clean, buttery flavor and aftertaste. As only 8% of the harvest, gold is one of the rarest colors on the caviar spectrum.
GRANDEUR OSETRA CAVIAR
FROM THE NETHERLANDS
Grandeur Osetra (acipenser gueldenstaedtii) is harvested from the oldest sturgeon broodstock. This means these fish are 18-22 years old, giving them their largest grain size, most similar to the famed Beluga Sturgeon. Minimum grain size is 3.5 mm, and color varies from grey to gold to platinum.
TWO-TONE OSETRA CAVIAR

Two-Tone Osetra has a rich, buttery flavor and impeccably snappy texture. Representing less than 3% of the harvest, Two-Tone Osetra (acipenser gueldenstaedtii) is a rare selection, with striking, dual coloration and large grain size. Its color is predominantly gold or platinum, with varying accent shades all across the spectrum.

Located in Morris, CT, Hungry Reaper Farm believes in growing food in a manner that is beneficial to the soil, water, air and people. On their farm, they use practices that adhere to the National Organic Program standards, which means Hungry Reaper Farm never uses synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. They only use OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) approved inputs and strive to manage their farm in a way that mimics the systems observed in nature. Compost teas, attracting beneficial insects, crop rotation, biodiversity of plants/soil microbes, and cover cropping are just some of the strategies Hungry Reaper Farm uses to produce delicious vegetables for their community. The result is produce that’s both safe andecologically friendly. While farmers often get a bad reputation for being damaging to the environment, Hunger Reaper Farm believes that responsible management of farmland has the power to sequester carbon, protect our natural resources, and ensure stability of our planet for generations to come.
Though they are not certified organic at this time, Hungry Reaper has an open invite to their customers to come to the farm and see their practices in action.

They also have a robust CSA that runs June through October where you can invest in the community farm, receiving a “share” of the available produce throughout the growing season weekly.
