Interior Design
Newman has completed a wide variety of public and private interior design projects throughout the United States, helping to establish a national reputation for design excellence, with over 150 national, regional, and local architecture and design awards. Our interiors work encompasses work within new buildings, and renovated and restored existing buildings, including buildings with historic significance. Our interior design philosophy is in concert with our overall human-centered design approach, which seeks ways to contribute to the built environment and make a lasting, beneficial impact on the way people live. We recognize the importance of listening to our clients’ needs during the early programming phase which encourages stakeholder buy in and reduces the risk of voices not being heard. There are many definitions of a successful interior project. We strive to align our clients’ needs with the needs of their tenants, customers and building users. From lighting and sound levels, to finishes and furniture selection, our designs aspire to the making of a better place. Our interiors are timeless in design, avoiding trends that might necessitate premature redesign. We work to design spaces that are not only beautiful, but flexible, functional, and durable.
