Devonshire Place at Balham
Devonshire Place is a collection of 1, 2 & 3 bedroom homes situated in Balham, providing style and comfort in a setting that offers everything you need for modern living. From 1 bedroom apartments to get you onto the property ladder, to 3 bedroom homes that give you a bit more space, these homes are perfect for a contemporary lifestyle.
A vibrant and bustling community, there’s plenty going on – both by day and by night. Balham is home to The Bedford, an award-winning pub famed for its live music and comedy nights, with performers including Eddie Izzard, Jo Brand and Al Murray. 2011 saw Balham’s first ever Food Festival take place, with the welcome return of the festival in 2012, offering taster menus from a range of restaurants, as well as a host of events. For the weekly shop you will find both Waitrose and Sainsbury’s in the area, with a Tesco Express nearby for those everyday essentials. When there’s a need for something more specialist, a number of independent food retailers can be found in the town. There are High Street names such as WHSmith and Boots, as well as one-off independent boutiques for those little things you just won’t find anywhere else. There are a number of nurseries, primary schools, secondary schools and sixth forms in the Balham area, so if you have children you can rest assured that their education is taken care of, whatever their age. Doctors and dental surgeries can
be found in the town, with the nearest large hospital being St. George’s, meaning healthcare is another important part of life you don’t have to worry about. Balham is located in Zone 3 and getting out and about is easy, with the town being well served by buses, trains and the underground. Balham is on the Northern Line and you can get to Waterloo in around 15 – 20 minutes. Overground trains operate to Victoria, Clapham Junction, Gatwick and Croydon and there is also a night bus service meaning that getting home is easy, 24 hours a day! Although Balham has seen a lot of changes over recent years, it still maintains its character and a number of older buildings in the town. From banks to beauty salons and Sainsbury’s to Starbucks, Balham has become a destination in its own right, but when you do need to head into the City or the West End, it couldn’t be easier by train or tube. So if you’re looking for luxury living in a location that has it all, you’ll find it at Devonshire Place.
