Outdoor pursuits Surrounded by beautiful landscapes and lively market towns, Huntington is an ideal base for exploring the local countryside and enjoying outdoor pursuits. Cannock Chase, once a royal hunting preserve, is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Rich in bird and animal life, including a herd of fallow deer, the Chase can be explored by a wide diversity of paths, including part of the long-distance Heart of England Way. It also contains a fascinating assortment of visitor centres and museums. Sport and leisure Littleton Green is virtually flanked by golf clubs, with The Chase Golf Club to the north and the municipal Cannock Park Golf Course to the south. The Chase Leisure Centre, less than a mile from Littleton Green, provides a comprehensive range of facilities including a 33m pool, a separate babyfriendly teaching pool and a fitness room, with a wide selection of organised clubs and classes. There are some excellent mountain biking routes in Cannock Chase Forest, and the nearby Chasewater Country Park offers facilities for water skiing, sailing and angling, as well as a fascinating heritage steam railway.

From the M6 Southbound Leave the M6 at junction 12 to join the A5 (Watling Street) following signs for Cannock. After around two and and a quarter miles, at the roundabout take the first exit to join the A4601. Take the second exit at the Longford Road roundabout to stay on the A4601 and enter Cannock, and at the Queen’s Square roundabout take the first exit to enter the Ringway (A34). At the Ringway roundabout take the second exit to stay on the A34. After around one and a half miles, Littleton Green is on the left.

From the M6 Toll Westbound Leave the M6T by the slip road at junction T7, and take the third exit at the first roundabout, the first exit at the second roundabout and the third exit at the third roundabout to enter the A34, following signs for Cannock. Take the second exit at the Delta Way roundabout to stay on the A34 and carry on to the T junction then turn right to enter The Ringway. At the Queen’s Square roundabout take the first exit to enter the Ringway (A34) then at the Ringway roundabout take the second exit to stay on the A34. After around one and a half miles, Littleton Green is on the left.
