Our community encourages holistic relationships with teachers, mentors, and peers.
With 95% of our faculty living on campus — a high percentage among boarding schools — students are valued and supported by tuned-in adults and peers. Each house includes friends of the same age, in-house faculty living in connected apartments, and faculty children and pets. In the evening, house parents and student proctors are present for homework help, advice, conversation, and snacks. The common room is the family room where everyone gathers. Plus, house teams gather for barbecues, birthday parties, study time, and creative themes and events. The familial relationships in each house quickly make New Hampton School feel like your home away from home.

Nestled in the foothills of the White Mountains, New Hampshire’s Lakes Region is one of the top travel destinations in the Northeast. There’s so much to see, do, learn, and love. Natural beauty is everywhere. Skiing, hiking, lake sports, history, art, biology, literature, running trails: there’s no end to what you can experience. The state capital of Concord is a half-hour drive, as are the ski slopes of Loon Mountain and Waterville Valley. Manchester Airport is less than an hour south, and Boston is 90 minutes away.
