Extra curricular activities at Eastlea
On Wednesday 13th November year 7 took part in the Big Sing Concert. This concert was an opportunity for students to demonstrate the knowledge, talent and hard work that they have been putting into their music curriculum singing lessons over the first half term. Students showcased their ability to sing in a number of languages and in different styles. The year 7's also performed a cappella, in three part harmony and as small ensembles of soloists. The students' enthusiasm and enjoyment was infectious and their professionality was a testament to them. They were joined by a dedicated Band made up of year 8-10 who accompanied them for a number of songs supported by our peripatetic staff. It was also fantastic to see the number of parents that came to watch to support their children and this made it an even greater success. The music department would like to thank all the students who were involved and the staff who supported with the rehearsal and event.
