Interleaved problem sets assign content aligned with the daily objective and also map back to previous material. Interleaved problem sets offer a compelling alternative to blocked problem sets, in which all problems align to the daily objective. A growing body of lab-based and small-scale classroom-based literature suggests that interleaved problem sets lead to better learning outcomes by facilitating increased retrieval practice and more opportunities for strategy selection.
