PRE SPRING Two thousand 16 For the Pre spring collection 2016 we imagined 2 themes. “ Vintage couture” derives from an exhibition of Grace Kelly in Paleis Het Loo, a palace founded in the Netherlands. This princess and the atmosphere of Monaco in the 50’s were a great influence on all the white and off white dresses. Imagine the setting of Grace Kelly wearing couture dresses during the ballroom parties of that time. The influence of the great couturiers of this period is reflected in the different silhouettes and constructions of the dresses as well. All materials used like cotton satin, organza, sparkling tulle and jacquard woven fabrics in white, soft pink and silver emphasize this romantic vintage atmosphere. “ Flower garden” is inspired by spring flower fields in fresh colours like coral and yellow as well as a burst of pink tones. Little girls in printed dresses that look like living paintings. Flowers can also be found in all detailing for instance as an organza decoration, sequined flower lace fabric and hand embroidered flowers on a knitted cardigan.

The photo shoot reflects the rich and romantic spirit of this collection as we were shooting in one of the most beautiful located hotels of Amsterdam. Hotel Pulitzer Amsterdam is accommodated in 25 canal houses which were built almost 400 years ago. The façades of all the houses and most ground floor entrance corridors along the Keizersgracht as well as the monumental “Saxenburgzaal” and the Apothecary room of the restaurant are listed monuments. During our shoot we “cut the waters” of the canals in style with Hotel Pulitzer’s 1920’s classic hotel boat, “The Tourist”.
