Swim Guidelines:
Please read prior to your visit.
Traditional swim attire is required in all pools. The intent of enforcing a swim suit policy is to maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for all patrons. Clothing other than swim wear can cause problems with water clarity, disinfection systems, and filtration. Anyone entering the water MUST be in a TRADITIONAL SWIMSUIT. A traditional swimsuit is one purchased for the sole purpose of swimming. A plain white t-shirt may be worn over a traditional swim suit and are available for purchase at the front desk. Deck chairs are for sitting only. Personal items may NOT to be stored on chairs. Priority for seating will be given to those with disabilities, senior citizens, and expecting and/or nursing mothers.
The Newark Swim Lesson Program provides the highest quality of swim instruction available. We look at swim instruction as a necessary life skill and want to make swimming an enjoyable lifelong activity for you and your family. Lessons are tailored to age and skill within a level. Remember not to compare your child’s progress with other swimmers as everyone learns at a different pace. Children are tested on the first day of each session and placed into the appropriate class level. We hope that you enjoy your swimming experience with us and welcome any of your comments or suggestions. Swim lessons are 25 minutes long, except for Adult and Competitive swim classes, which will run 45 minutes. You can sign up for one session or as many sessions as you like. (They do not need to be concurrent.) This flexible approach allows you the benefit of meeting your family’s schedule.
Activity Refund Processing: Please note that a minimum of five (5) working days’ notice is required before the session begins. Refund requests have a $15 processing fee. Transferring enrollment to another session also incurs a $15 fee.
Please note: There are no make-up classes and/or credits/refunds for any classes missed due to accident, injury, illness, or personal scheduling conflicts. Doctor’s notes will not be accepted.
We do not allow enrolling for consecutive lessons in the same session period as this may prevent others from joining the program. Additionally, it has been observed that children often struggle to complete the full class duration, leading to dropouts. Thank you for your cooperation.
Registration Deadlines are 72 hours before the session. We will not accept any registrations after the deadline is passed. It is best to register in advance to ensure your class is available.
