SUPERB HEEL

CRAFTSMANSHIP

The heel on a Nettleton Shoe is comprised of hand crafted stacked layers of the same leather as the outsole. We take a double stacked piece of rubber for the outsole and cut away half of it for the bottom leather piece. The reconditioned many times over for a very long life.

OUTSOLE

The leather for the outsole is the highest quality product available. In normal wear you should see our outsoles lasting up to eight times longer than other shoes you may have. The leather is tanned using and oak-bark process which involves using biodegradable tanning agents such as bark and fruit. The outsole is hand cut which allows for more precise finishing in the manufacturing of the shoe. It is hand rubbed with beeswax for a beautiful finish. Our outsoles are never painted as with many other manufacturers. Because of its natural fiber structure it absorbs perspiration and helps with the breathability of the shoe.

LEATHER LINING

All Nettleton Shoes have a full leather lining, as much as possible it is made from a solid leather piece so as to provide minimal seams for strength and wearing comfort. The leather lining is not being used to cover up any synthetic materials in the shoe construction. Look where the side counter and the rear counter lining meet. You will find a butt seam so that the stitching ends up between the layers of leather and not protruding out where it might aggravate your foot during a day of wearing. Feel inside the inside top of the shoe for the smoothness and lack of annoying seams.

The new collection, English Cavalry by Nettleton Shoes was inspired by Tony Slinger, one of the pre-eminent bespoke shoemakers in the world and the creator of the English Cavalry brand conceived the design, earmarks and flourishes of this spectacular line.

Our leathers, workmanship and designs have been gathered into a collection, which pulls together all the pageantry, prestige, history, class, and tradition that is English Cavalry.

CUSTOM LUXURY AT ITS FINEST At Nettleton we can make a personal pair for you at a modest upcharge.

Select a pair from in-stock style and size. We offer a variety of leather textures and colors from which you can choose. Choices range from aniline calf, suede, shell cordovan and exotics. In addition you select the colors for the lining leather and threads. We personalize your shoes by writing your name on the inside and by stamping your initials into the outsole just to the front of the heel. Your shoes are delivered to you in 6 – 8 weeks. CASUAL COLLECTION When superb comfort and a soft feel fit your mood we recommend shoes from our Casual Collection. We utilize the Blake (Littleway) method of construction to bring you a shoe that is high in style, has a lighter feel and instant comfort. We use the same high quality materials, same handcrafting, very much a “Nettleton”. Wear them with or without socks either way the smooth supple lining feels fantastic on your feet. We take more liberty with the colors and upper material offered. Where shown we use reversed suede. The hide is unsplit which makes for more durable suede. It has a fine nap outside with the finished grain side being on the inside. Our Casual Collection shoes make for a very elegant feel for your foot, sockless or not.

SHELL CORDOVAN If you are serious about how you look and what you wear odds are that you have or want a pair of Shell Cordovan shoes. This particular leather is prized for its durability, longevity, and exquisite shine. For a variety of reasons there is a worldwide shortage of this leather, which has resulted in a significant upswing in prices.
