Introducing Vision 365 from Netop: The Features You Love with Full Office 365 Integration Early in March, Netop announced the long-awaited new version of their highly-rated Vision classroom management software. Vision 365 offers the same features that educators and school IT professionals know and love, but with new support for Windows devices. Here are a few standout features that will help educators manage their Windows and Office 365 edtech devices.
Full Support for Windows 10 Devices Before Vision 365, Netop’s classroom management software was only accessible for educators using Chromebooks in their classroom. While the majority of 1:1 devices found in the U.S. are Chromebooks, for school systems in Europe and other countries, Windows 10 devices with Office 365 are the primary devices. Netop heard the call for expansion, and Vision 365 is the answer. Now educators around the world using either Chromebooks or Windows 10 devices can utilize Vision and all of its resultsdriven features. Set Limits to Keep Students On Task As software for classroom management first and foremost, Vision 365 enables teachers to have full oversight of the devices in their classroom. This allows educators to worry less about potential distractions on devices and focus more on the results and engagement that they can help facilitate. Two standout features of Vision 365 that meet this goal are its web filter and ability to blank screens. Vision 365’s web filter feature works outside of a school’s existing web filter. So while the school’s filter likely blocks most distracting sites, Vision 365’s web filter works by saying what sites students are allowed to be on to help direct learning, rather than saying what sites they are not allowed to go to. Educators can easily use this feature without altering the school’s overall web filters or getting the IT department involved.
