Welcomeback for our fourth game and third home game, thanks to the great work by our team, volunteers and you our members and supporters on making the last home games so successful, it is great to see the crowds flocking back to the stadium to watch our senior team winning against our local neighbours.
Tonight we welcome Tralee Warriors to the Stadium, and after last year’s battles I am sure we are in for another classic encounter, both teams have made personal changes so it will be interesting to see the how each team adapts to each other.
Our own senior team are playing great basketball at the moment and the team spirit is evident to see both in matches and around the stadium on training nights, all our senior players pop in and out of the underage session which is so important to our younger kids
On a few other notes, all our purchased gear should be arriving in the next 7-10 days and will distributed from the stadium once arrived, and we will be opening a xmas shop in early November for delivery mid-December, all details will be posted on Social Media and on our App
Tickets for our Cup game against UCC Demons on the 5th November will go on Sale on the 26th Oct and I would advise getting your tickets early as this will be a sell-out. Welcome back to the stadium for what should be another competitive game. The first two home games have seen the stadium full which has given the players an extra bounce when heading into training during the week.

While still very early in the season each game has brought it’s own positives and circumstances which allowed different players step up at different times to help us to victory. Neptune are blazing a trail in Irish basketball as the first club in the country with own club mobile app Neptune Basketball Club partners with sportstech startup ClubSpot to create their own club app, world class ticketing system, and club members digital community in the palm of their hands.

Neptune Basketball Club are partnering with Cavan sportstech startup ClubSpot to bring an online club management and digital ticketing platform to the Irish grassroots basketball world. ClubSpot creates mobile apps for all grassroot sports clubs to help them to communicate with members, boost revenues, be GDPR compliant and reduce administrative workload for
volunteers through ClubSpot’s total club management platform. Tom O’Sullivan, Neptune Basketball chairman said: “Following an online survey of all our members last summer, communication was a major concern of our members and supporters. We found ClubSpot to be the best fit for our club, having our own club app, and being able to communicate all our club news including match results, press releases, lotto, bingo information. We are able to sell match tickets to all our Superleague games and relay instant information direct to our members and supporters. The feedback so far has been great and the transition to our new app was very easy.”
Blazing a trail as the first basketball club in Ireland to have its club own app, Neptune are showing ambition and creativity in creating a new revenue stream and modern ticketing system that will surely be adopted by other basketball clubs up and down the country.
The ClubSpot contactless ticketing system allows Neptune spectators and supporters to purchase tickets for select matches online via the Neptune club app. To gain access to the match, a supporter will simply present their e-ticket at a club gate where a steward on the gate will scan the ticket using their smartphone to allow access.
Neptune kicked off their Superleague season with a thrilling 1 point victory
over local rivals UCC Demons in a sold out Neptune Stadium. They host Emporium Basketball Club this Saturday at 6:30pm in Neptune stadium. Search for “Neptune Basketball” in your smartphone app store to purchase tickets.
The in-app digital ticketing service comes in partnership with Tixserve, an experienced digital ticketing provider who can boast stadiums such as Twickenham among their customers, and have even provided Ed Sheeran with a digital ticketing solution for concerts. Cavan GAA have partnered with ClubSpot and use the built in Tixserve feature to run and manage all club games in Cavan. Tickets can easily be saved to a phone and can be scanned at venues without the need for Wi-Fi or mobile data.
ClubSpot Commercial Manager said: “We are delighted to be working with Neptune who are a legendary club in Irish basketball and to help them deliver new ways to engage with members and supporters in this digital age.”
The latest technology will ensure that grassroots sports clubs, such as Neptune, can now efficiently manage match spectator admissions and also reduce the high volumes of cash being taken in at the gate during these events. ENDS
