IBIZA ARCHITECTURE REPORT "To poeticise is truly allowing to inhabit [.] To poeticise like allowing to inhabit, is to build", with the words of Heidegger on our lips, the polished whites of the eyes and the quietened breeze on the skin, let us discover this properties in Can Rimbau (Ibiza), experiencing that perfectly wise concomitance.

Between the sky and the sea, with all its immense landscape, from the rocks of ancient, Phoenician area of Bes, the four residential projects under the pen of the architect Massi Ferrachi, rise from the ground like houses or boxes of enveloped light, lined with the Mediterranean mythology of sensory pleasures, sensuality, freedom and tranquillity. Features which inspire the discovery of a place, the founding of a longlasting homestead.

The imperative geometry of structures is activated through an emotional combination of the usage of white, spatial flow and glasswork which guarantees edification with the environment in mind, respecting its imposing beauty, expressing this as part of that extraordinary dwelling. Open, flowing, crystalline, intimate yet stretching towards infinity, each project combines architectonic rationale with the poetic nature of essential elements, water, stone, air, salt... limestone.

The space is multi-directional, there is no willingness of a sole perspective or narration, there is no set route, the limits are deliberately inaccurate, making the whole experience more profound, more environmental, the free establishment of synchrony and connections. During the day, each house is connected without obstacles through a series of terraces leading to swimming pools and the diversity of an immediately accessible environment which continues as far as the sea, accentuating the rural worth of the area.

At night-time, lighting brings the cubic structures, clashing with the simplistic authenticity of day-time; cloaked by a weighty darkness, a dialogue is formed by artificial, urbane lighting.

Adapted to this paradise of exquisite ambiguity, both natural and social, precipitous, horizontal, never-ending and yet fleeting, architectural creed is strengthened and allows for habitation.
