We believe that the values of our past are the pillars of our future. Our mission is to preserve and pass on the Hungarian historical and cultural heritage and to exercise respectful memory because the key to a strong Hungary is a deep-rooted national identity. It is our conviction that the future of our country in a unified Europe built on nation-states is based on the responsible education of young generations having a solid Hungarian awareness who think in terms of national cohesion. We consider it to be our strategic task to serve this. The National Heritage Institute as an institution of the Prime Minister’s Office, is the assets manager and operator of locations of symbolic significance from the aspect of the nation’s past and historical memory, such as the Fiumei Road Cemetery, the Salgótarjáni Street Jewish Cemetery and the National Park of Mourning of the New Public Cemetery. At the same time, the National Heritage Institute exercises rights of disposition over the National Graveyard, that is,

A Nemzeti Örökség Intézete (NÖRI) a Miniszterelnökség háttérintézményeként olyan, a nemzetünk múltja és történelmi vemlékezete szempontjából szimbolikus jelentőségű helyszínek vagyonkezelője, illetve működtetője, mint a Fiumei Úti Sírkert, a Salgótarjáni utcai zsidó temető, az Új köztemető Nemzeti Gyászparkja. In addition to preserving the national heritage, the National Heritage Institute brings the memory of the great figures of our history closer to a wider audience through commemorations, memorial days, conferences and diverse cultural programmes connected to the anniversaries of significant events and personalities. Its broad-ranging promotional and educational activities are also reflected in the website, newsletters, social media channels, animated short films, media communications and publications. The National Memory Guardian Award, established last year, would like to reward individuals who carry out outstanding activities to preserve Hungarian national memory. From among the fields of activity of the National Heritage Institute, we intend to place ever greater emphasis on the education of historical and cultural memory education. Without exception, the locations cared for by the National Heritage Institute are of key significance in the history of the nation, thus they are of outstanding importance from the aspect of the self-image of being Hungarian. As such, our goal is to include these symbolic spaces of remembrance in the upbringing and education of younger generations. By engendering genuine experiences and emotions, we want to expand the understanding of children and young adults, exploiting potential educational opportunities outside the classroom.

A nemzeti örökség megóvása mellett a NÖRI jelentős események és személyiségek évfordulóihoz kapcsolódó megemlékezésekkel, emléknapokkal, konferenciákkal és színes, kulturális programokkal viszi közelebb a szélesebb közönséghez történelmünk nagyjainak emlékét. Sokrétű népszerűsítő és ismeretterjesztő tevékenysége honlapon, hírlevélben, közösségi média csatornákon, sajtókommunikációban, animációs kisfilmekben és kiadványokban is visszaköszön.
A tavaly alapított Nemzeti Emlék-Őr díjjal pedig olyan személyeket kíván elismerni, akik a magyar nemzeti emlékezet ápolása érdekében kimagasló tevékenységet végeznek. A NÖRI tevékenységi körében egyre nagyobb hangsúlyt kívánunk helyezni az emlékezetpedagógiára.
A NÖRI által gondozott helyszínek ugyanis kivétel nélkül meghatározó jelentőséggel bírnak a nemzet történelmében, így kiemelkedő fontosságúak a magyarság önképe szempontjából, ennélfogva célunk, hogy az emlékezés e szimbolikus tereit bekapcsoljuk a fiatalabb generációk nevelésébe és oktatásába. Valóságos élményekre, tapasztalatokra és érzelmekre hatva kívánjuk bővíteni a gyerekek és a fiatal felnőttek tudását, kiaknázva az osztálytermen kívüli művelődésben rejlő lehetőségeket.

One increasingly essential task of the National Heritage Institute is the identification and registration of beyond-the-borders Hungarian-related locations and graves important from the aspect of the national memory, for the expanding database in the online space –with the help of our compatriots living and working in the separated Hungarian areas – to contribute to the preservation of the awareness of the Hungarian origins of our compatriots living beyond the borders and to the strengthening of their sense of belonging.

A NÖRI egyre hangsúlyosabb feladata a nemzeti emlékezet szempontjából fontos, határon túli magyar vonatkozású helyszínek, sírok beazonosítása és regisztrálása is, annak érdekében, hogy az online térben – az elszakított magyar területeken élő és dolgozó honfitársaink segítségével – bővülő adatbázis hozzájárulhasson határon túli honfitársaink magyarságtudatának megőrzéséhez és az összetartozás érzésének erősítéséhez.

In June 2021, our Institute joined the Association of Significant Cemeteries in Europe (ASCE) with the intention of making Hungarian historical cemeteries as well as the built and intangible heritage having Hungarian associations more visible in international cultural life. In addition, the National Heritage Institute mutually collaborates with the National Place of Remembrance and Piety Committee (NPRPC), which the National Assembly established over 20 years ago to renew the culture of the memory policy, national mourning and remembrance. The National Heritage Institute was organised from the secretariat of the NPRPC as a working body of the NPRPC in 2013.

Intézményünk 2021 júniusában csatlakozott az Európai Jelentős Temetők Szövetségéhez (ASCE) azzal a szándékkal, hogy a magyar történelmi sírkerteket, valamint a magyar vonatkozású épített és szellemi örökséget a nemzetközi kulturális vérkeringésben is láthatóbbá tegye. Emellett a NÖRI kölcsönösen együttműködik a több mint 20 éves Nemzeti Emlékhely és Kegyeleti Bizottsággal (NEKB), amelyet az Országgyűlés hívott életre az emlékezetpolitika, a nemzeti gyász és emlékezés kultúrájának megújítására. A Nemzeti Örökség Intézete az NEKB titkárságából alakult 2013-ban, az NEKB munkaszervezeteként.
Fiumei Road Cemetery
The Fiumei Road Cemetery is more than a graveyard: it is one of Hungary’s largest collections of statues, and its 56-hectare, arboretum-like landscaped area has avenues harbouring 10 species of tree and 110 different bird species. The Fiumei Road Cemetery that opened in 1849 as the public cemetery of Pest is the only cemetery to be a national place of remembrance in its entirety, an openair history book of modern-day Hungary in which one will find traces of the Age of Dualism, national development, communism, the 1848-49 War of Independence and the 1956 Revolution, as well as the democratic multi-party system. Among the great figures of Hungarian culture, Béni Egressy, who set the ‘Summons’ (Szózat) to music, was first to be buried here, in 1851, while the coffin of Mihály Vörösmarty, author of the Summons, was carried here attended by a vast crowd in 1855. The mausoleums of count Lajos Batthyány, Ferenc Deák and Lajos Kossuth transformed the cemetery into a national place of worship, where the impressive Apponyi funerary coach also reminds us of the final respects paid to the immortals of the nation.
Fiumei Úti Sírkert
A Fiumei Úti Sírkert több mint temető: Magyarország egyik legnagyobb, 56 hektáros szoborparkja, arborétumnak is beillő zöldfelületén 10 fajta fát számláló fasoraival és 110 különböző madárfajjal. Az 1849-ben Pest köztemetőjeként megnyílt Fiumei Úti Sírkert az egyetlen temető, amely teljes egészében nemzeti emlékhely, a modern kori Magyarország szabadtéri történelemkönyve, ahol a dualizmus, a nemzetépítés, a kommunizmus, az 1848-49-es és az 1956-os forradalom és szabadságharc, valamint a demokratikus többpártrendszer lenyomataival is találkozhatunk.
A magyar kultúra nagyjai közül először a Szózat megzenésítőjét, Egressy Bénit temették el itt 1851-ben, a Szózat költőjének, Vörösmarty Mihálynak a koporsóját pedig már tömegek kísérték ide 1855-ben. Gróf Batthyány Lajos, Deák Ferenc és Kossuth Lajos mauzóleumai nemzeti kultuszhellyé avatták a sírkertet, ahol a lenyűgöző Apponyi-hintó is emlékeztet a nemzet nagy halottainak kijáró végtisztességre. Más nagyjaink mellett itt nyugszik Munkácsy Mihály, Ady Endre, Móricz Zsigmond, Csontváry Kosztka Tivadar, József Attila, Blaha Lujza, Jászai Mari, Jancsó Miklós, Kertész Imre és Makk Károly, így a sírkert a magyar kultúra megkerülhetetlen „zarándokhelye” is.
This is similarly the resting place of other great figures such as Mihály Munkácsy, Endre Ady, Zsigmond Móricz, Tivadar Csontváry Kosztka, Attila József, Lujza Blaha, Mari Jászai, Miklós Jancsó, Imre Kertész and Károly Makk, thus the cemetery is also an essential ‘place of pilgrimage’ of Hungarian culture.
We are convinced that an awareness of the oeuvres of the people resting in the cemetery and the architectural and sculptural masterpieces erected in their honour contributes enormously – particularly for the younger generations – to the strengthening of national identity, since as Hungarians we can always be proud of what our predecessors gave to the world. Visitors can select from around 50 themed walks and programmes on the National Heritage Institute’s website, while the FiumeiGuide mobile app assists in a personalized discovery of the cemetery, visitors are able to find unconventional history lessons, concerts, theatre productions, adventure games and treasure hunts.
Meggyőződésünk, hogy a sírkertben nyugvók életművének és a nekik emelt építészeti, szobrászati műremekeknek a megismertetése nagymértékben hozzájárul – különösen a fiatalabb generációk számára –a nemzeti identitás megerősítéséhez, hiszen magyarként mindig büszkék lehetünk mindarra, amit elődeink adtak a világnak. A látogatók mintegy 50 tematikus séta és program közül választhatnak a NÖRI honlapján, a sírkert egyéni felfedezését pedig a FiumeiGuide mobilapplikáció segíti. Rendhagyó történelemórák, koncertek, színházi produkciók, felfedező és kincskereső játékok is várják az érdeklődőket.
Salgótarjáni Street Jewish Cemetery
The Salgótarjáni Street Jewish Cemetery is a monument protected in its entirety. Its site was separated from the neighbouring public cemetery after the first Jewish cemeteries in Pest were filled. The sole cemetery of Pest Jewry from its opening in 1874 until 1892, along with today’s Fiumei Road Cemetery, provides a complete picture of Hungary on its path to developing a middle class and living through a golden age, right up until the early 1920s. Much of its unparalleled architectural heritage consists of the mausoleums of the business elite arising during the Age of Dualism. At the same time, the cemetery recalls the 20th century tragedy of Hungary’s Jewry: for example, there is the mausoleum – ornamented with Jewish symbols and Hungarian motifs – of Vilmos Vázsonyi, the first Hungarian minister of Jewish origin, but there is also a memorial to the victims of the Budapest Ghetto, many of whom are buried here. The cemetery, which was opened to visitors in 2016, is given a remarkable atmosphere by the special symbiosis of buildings and vegetation. Themed walks by the National Heritage Institute reveal not only the secrets of the cemetery but they also give a glimpse into Jewish culture.
Salgótarjáni utcai

A Salgótarjáni utcai zsidó temető teljes egészében műemléki védettség alatt áll. Területét a szomszédos köztemetőéről választották le, miután a zsidóság első pesti temetői beteltek. 1874-es megnyitásától 1892-ig a pesti zsidóság egyetlen temetője a mai Fiumei Úti Sírkerttel együtt ad teljes képet a polgárosodó és gazdasági aranykorát élő
Magyarországról, egészen az 1920-as évek elejéig. Páratlan épített örökségének jelentős részét a dualizmus gazdasági elitjének mauzóleumai adják. A temető egyben a zsidóság 20. századi tragédiájára is emlékeztet: itt találjuk többek között Vázsonyi Vilmos, az első zsidó származású magyar miniszter zsidó szimbólumokkal és magyar motívumokkal díszített síremlékét, de a budapesti gettó nagyrészt ide temetett áldozatainak emlékművét is. A látogatók számára 2016-ban megnyitott temető különleges atmoszféráját az építmények és a növényzet sajátos szimbiózisa adja. A NÖRI tematikus sétái a temető titkai mellett a zsidó kultúrába is bepillantást nyújtanak.
National Park of Mourning
The National Park of Mourning located in the New Public Cemetery together with the nearby Penitentiary is a national memorial to the victims of communism and at the same time a tribute to 1956 and 1989. The visitor centre built on the 60th anniversary of the 1956 uprising and displaying interactive content was not designed as a museum. It complements, with information in accordance with our current knowledge, the memorial site evoking emotions, and at the same time it reassuringly clarifies the history of plots 298, 300 and 301 and the individuals lying therein, about whom 1200 personal biographies are now available in the National Heritage Institute database. Executed, murdered heroes and innocent victims, many of whom perished in captivity, lie alongside war and common law criminals in graves frequently unmarked even today, which is why respectful grave research continues unabated. The National Heritage Institute welcomes visitors with themed walks, unconventional history lessons and film screenings.
Az Új köztemetőben található Nemzeti Gyászpark a közeli Kisfogházzal, továbbá a váci, a márianosztrai és a sopronkőhidai rabtemetőkkel együtt nemzeti emlékhely, a kommunizmus áldozatainak, egyben pedig 1956 és 1989 mementója. Az 1956-os forradalom 60. évfordulójára épült, interaktív tartalmakat bemutató látogatóközpont nem múzeumnak készült. Jelenlegi ismereteinknek megfelelő tudásanyaggal egészíti ki az érzelmekre ható emlékhelyet, egyben megnyugtatóan tisztázza a 298-as, 300-as és 301-es parcellák és az abban nyugvók történetét, akik közül immár 1200 személy életrajza elérhető az intézet adatbázisában. A kivégzett, meggyilkolt, rabságban elpusztult hősök és ártatlan áldozatok mellett háborús és köztörvényes bűnösök is nyugszanak a sokszor még ma is névtelen sírokban, ezért a kegyeleti sírkutatás folytatódik. A NÖRI tematikus sétákkal, rendhagyó történelemórákkal és filmvetítéssel várja az érdeklődőket.
National Graveyard
The National Graveyard was created in order to protect the burial places of individuals who made a lasting contribution to the Hungarian nation. It now numbers more than 6200 graves nationwide. Graves that receive legal protection by being classified in the National Graveyard cannot be removed and the National Heritage Institute exercises rights of disposition over them: it maintains a register of protected graves, it assesses their condition and, if justified or an important anniversary connected with the person resting there is approaching, it restores them or tidies them up in line with the ruling of the NPRPC. Thus, among others, the grave of Alfréd Hajós in Budapest and the memorials of Ferenc Kazinczy in Széphalom, Ferenc Kölcsey in Szatmárcseke and Gyula Benczúr in Benczúrfalva were restored. The National Graveyard includes remarkable sites such as the crypt of the Palatine of Buda Castle, the mass grave of soldiers who fell during the siege of Buda Castle in 1849, and the resting place of members of the football Golden Team in St. Stephen’s Basilica. The aim of the National Heritage Institute is to designate the protected graves individually and by cemetery, and it also intends to include the graves listed in the National Graveyardas well as the people resting therein in its historical and cultural memory education programme, so that every secondary school student can seek out the graves of our eminent predecessors such as Ferenc Kölcsey, Ferenc Kazinczy and István Széchenyi, furthermore, that young people can take an active part in maintaining the graves and cherishing the memory of those who lie there.
A magyar nemzet számára maradandót alkotó személyek temetkezési helyének védelmére született meg a Nemzeti Sírkert, amely immár több mint 6200 sírt számlál országszerte.
A Nemzeti Sírkertbe sorolással jogi védelmet nyerő sírokat nem lehet felszámolni, felettük a rendelkezési jogot a NÖRI gyakorolja: nyilvántartást vezet a védett sírokról, felméri az állapotukat, és amennyiben indokolt, illetve az ott nyugvó személlyel kapcsolatban fontos évforduló következik, az NEKB döntése alapján felújítja vagy rendbe teszi azokat. Így született
újjá többek között Hajós Alfréd síremléke Budapesten, Kazinczy Ferenc síremléke Széphalmon, Kölcsey Ferenc síremléke Szatmárcsekén vagy Benczúr Gyula síremléke Benczúrfalván.
A Nemzeti Sírkertbe olyan különleges sírhelyek tartoznak, mint a Budavári nádori kripta, a Budavár ostrománál 1849-ben elesett honvédek közös sírja vagy az Aranycsapat tagjainak nyughelyei a Szent István-bazilikában. A NÖRI célja a védett sírok egyedi és temetőnkénti megjelölése, emellett a Nemzeti Sírkertbe sorolt sírokat, illetve az azokban nyugvó személyeket is be kívánja emelni emlékezetpedagógiai programjába, hogy minden középiskolás felkereshesse olyan nagyjaink sírját, mint Kölcsey Ferenc, Kazinczy Ferenc vagy Széchenyi István, és a fiatalok tevékenyen részt vegyenek a sírok és az abban nyugvók emlékének ápolásában.
National and Historical Places of remembrance

National and historical places of remembrance are symbolic or actual sites related to decisive events in Hungarian history. At present, there are 21 national and 62 historical remembrance places in Hungary, marked by special commemorative columns, stelaes. National places of remembrance that determined the Hungarian national identity are the most important locations in our history. They are enshrined in law by the National Assembly on the basis of the proposals of the NPRPC. Historical places of remembrance may be categorized as outstanding not only from a national but also denominational, regional or minority point of view. Their significance is recognized in the form of a government decree based on the recommendation of the NPRPC.
Although places of remembrance are frequently important works of architecture, they are significant primarily for their outstanding historical role. The key events, tragedies and moments of glory in Hungarian history come alive for visitors to these remembrance places. They are locations where everyone can unconsciously absorb all the knowledge that is much harder to assimilate from history books alone.
It is an important mission of to promote the places of remembrance, and thereby our common past. Reducing sites with very different characteristics and possibilities to a common denominator represents a serious challenge. Places of remembrance Day, the national programme series launched by the institution in 2016, is a perfect opportunity for this: while demonstrating the particular values of each remembrance place, still they are presented with a unified image to those interested in culture. The Place of remembrance of the Year Award, established in 2020, is awarded to sites that promote cultural heritage in an innovative way that speaks to people of all generations, that seek regional or national collaboration with other national or historical places of remembrance, highlighting the ‘concept of remembrance place’ in their programmes and communications.
A Történelmi és Nemzeti Emlékhelyek a magyar történelem sorsfordító eseményeihez kapcsolódó szimbolikus vagy valóságos terek. Jelenleg 21 nemzeti és 62 történelmi emlékhely van Magyarországon, amelyeket különleges emlékoszlopok, sztélék jelölnek. A magyar nemzeti identitástudat szempontjából meghatározó Nemzeti Emlékhelyek történelmünk legfontosabb helyszínei, amelyeket az NEKB javaslata alapján az Országgyűlés foglal törvénybe. A Történelmi Emlékhelyek nemcsak nemzeti, hanem felekezeti, regionális vagy kisebbségi szempontból is kiemelkedőnek minősülhetnek. Az NEKB javaslata alapján kormányrendelet ismeri el jelentőségüket.
Bár az emlékhelyek gyakran jelentős építészeti alkotások, elsősorban kiemelkedő történelmi szerepük miatt fontosak. Az odalátogatók ezáltal megtapasztalhatják a magyar történelem kiemelkedő eseményeit, tragédiáit, dicső pillanatait. Olyan helyszínek, ahol mindenki észrevétlenül szívhatja magába mindazokat az ismereteket, amelyeket történelemkönyvekből sokkal nehezebb elsajátítani.
A NÖRI fontos küldetése az emlékhelyek, ezáltal pedig közös múltunk ismertebbé tétele. Az eltérő adottságokkal és lehetőségekkel rendelkező helyszínek közös nevezőre hozása komoly kihívás. Az intézmény által 2016-ban indított országos programsorozat, az Emlékhelyek Napja kiváló alkalom arra, hogy minden emlékhely a saját értékeit bemutatva, mégis egységes arculattal jelenjen meg a kultúra iránt érdeklődők előtt. A 2020-ban alapított Év Emlékhelyedíjat azok a helyszínek nyerhetik el, ahol a kulturális örökséget újszerű vagy több korosztályt megszólító módon népszerűsítik, regionális vagy országos együttműködésre törekednek más nemzeti vagy történelmi emlékhelyekkel, és programkínálatukban, illetve kommunikációjukban hangsúlyosan jelenik meg az „emlékhelység”.
Hungarian remembrance places beyond the border – Hungarian National Name Directory
The National Heritage Institute (NHI) considers the collection, registration and dissemination of Hungarian places of remembrance beyond the border among as wide an audience as possible to be a mission of outstanding importance. For this reason, it has established as an independent development the Remembrance Place Name Directory as a part of the Hungarian National Name Directory platform, which complements the Personal Name Directory, Geographical Name Directory and the Board Name Directory under the management of the National Széchényi Library. Via the different related data, individual name directories are interoperable for users.
The Places of remembrance Name Directory not only presents national and historical Places of remembrance, as well as graves protected as part of the National Graveyard, but it also contains the database – among others, designation on a map and description of the site – of Hungarian places of remembrance beyond the border. It is possible to search Hungarian places of remembrance beyond the border by settlement, type, state, related person and map reference. The collection can be expanded by external users in the form of suggestions submitted individually or in groups, by completing a data sheet and/or table, which can be accessed using links located at the bottom of the platform.

A NÖRI kiemelten fontos küldetésének tekinti a határon túli magyar emlékhelyek összegyűjtését, regisztrálását és minél szélesebb körben való megismertetését. Ezért hozta létre önálló fejlesztésként az Emlékhely Névteret a Magyar Nemzeti Névtér felületén, amely az Országos Széchényi Könyvtár kezelésében lévő Személynévteret, Földrajzi Névteret és Testületi Névteret egészíti ki. A különböző kapcsolódó adatok révén az egyes névterek átjárhatóak a felhasználó számára.
Az Emlékhely Névtér a nemzeti és a történelmi emlékhelyek, valamint a nemzeti sírkert részeként védett sírok bemutatásán túl a határon túli magyar emlékhelyek adatbázisát – többek között a térképen való jelölését és a helyszín leírását – tartalmazza. A határon túli magyar emlékhelyek között település, jelleg, állapot, kapcsolódó személy és térképes kijelölés szerint lehet keresni a felületen. A gyűjteményt külső felhasználó is bővítheti egyéni és csoportos javaslat beküldése által, egy adatlap, illetve táblázat kitöltésével, amelyeket a felület alján található linkek segítségével érhet el.
Az új rendszer kiemelt stratégiai célja egyrészt a határon túli magyar területekre látogatók tusztikai, szellemi és nemzeti összetartozást erősítő támogatása, másrészt szeretnénk lehetőséget biztosítani az elcsatolt területeken és a távolabbi diaszpórában élők számára, hogy az általuk fontosnak tartott helyeket, személyiségeket és eseményeket az össznemzeti felületen megjeleníthessék, biztosítva ezáltal az ezeréves magyar
The outstanding strategic objective of the new system is, on the one hand, to provide support for visitors travelling to Hungarian regions beyond the border strengthening tourism, intellectual and national cohesion, and on the other hand we would like to ensure the possibility for ethnic Hungarian minorities living in the Carpathian Basin and in the more distant diaspora that they consider important can be displayed on the nationwide platform, thereby providing a summary of the built heritage of the thousand-year-old Hungarian history, tangible locations verifying the presence of the Hungarian people.

The National Pedagogy of Memory Programme
We established the programme in order to reach young people on an experience basis and to guide them as regards Hungarian history. Its aim is to strengthen national identity with the collaboration of places of remembrance and those active in public education. In its educational methodological focus, as well as the transmission of knowledge its avowed aim is to develop a national feeling, an emotional attachment to the homeland as well as the transmission of knowledge. It provides a point of reference to the discovery and understanding knowledge of the past, it creates the opportunity for active local study, for the building of school and class communities, for individual creativity and self-expression, and the evaluation and experience of the significance of historical events. By sparking interest, it provides the experience of involvement and the identification with heroes and role models, thereby strengthening national cohesion. Its target age group is 12-18-year-olds, who study in any type of school within the framework of primary and vocational education, and those teachers who educate and teach in the unity of the transmission of values, experiences and knowledge, in a community-creating way, as well as those families who are the keepers and experiential passers-on of Hungarian consciousness. Our partners are the places of remembrance, the state and church public educational and vocational educational institutions, respectively their maintainers, and in the professional area the Professional Association of History Teachers, the experts of which are the developers of our active curriculum-
A programot a fiatalok élményalapú megszólítására és a magyar történelemmel kapcsolatos érzékenyítésük érdekében hoztuk létre. Célja a nemzeti identitás erősítése az emlékhelyek és a közoktatás szereplőinek együttműködésével. Pedagógiai-módszertani fókuszában az ismeretátadás mellett a nemzeti érzés, a hazához való érzelmi kötődés kialakításának vállalt célja áll. Támpontot ad a múlt felfedező, értő ismeretéhez, lehetőséget teremt az aktív helyszíni tanulásra, az iskolai és osztályközösség építésére, az egyéni kreativitásra és önkifejezésre, a történelmi események jelentőségének értékelésére és átélésére. Érdeklődést keltve megadja a bevonódás, a hősökkel és példaképekkel való azonosulás élményét, erősítve a nemzeti összetartozást. Célcsoportja a 12–18 éves korosztály, akik az általános és szakképzés keretében bármely iskolatípusban tanulnak, és azok a pedagógusok, akik az érték-, élmény- és ismeretátadás egységében, közösségteremtő módon nevelnek és tanítanak, valamint a családok, akik a magyarságtudat őrzői és élményszerű továbbadói. Partnereink az emlékhelyek, az állami és egyházi köznevelési és szakképző intézmények, illetve fenntartóik, szakmai téren pedig a Történelemoktatók Szakmai Egyesülete, amelynek szakértői az emlékhelyekre alkalmazott, aktív tananyag-feldolgozó keretprogramjaink kidolgozói. Kapcsolódunk az oktatásirányítás, a tanárképzés, a pedagógiai szakmai szervezetek, a tehetséggondozás és a civil szféra sok szereplőjéhez is.
