“Can our cities strive to nurture inclusion, awareness, and public resources in counter effect?”
“(...) In particular for architects, a willingness and investment in “revitalizing our civic culture” places us at the center in rethinking places for broader communities and functions. More than ever we need places that foster exchange and dialogue. Public places (or infrastructures) contributing and supporting diverse aspects of culture and public interest. (...)”
“(...) Cities of tomorrow may need to quickly adapt to larger infuxes of people as they are forced to move. What methods of uncertain staging will be needed to provide temporary support? And do our cities allow for the kinds of momentary fuctuations that will likely be needed? (...)”

The project presents a holistic environment including the entire site and its buildings creating an architectural promenade in continuity in experiences with the bay trail. It gives the population access to the shore and local food strengthening the link between producers and consumers. While bringing back life into the area making it safe and accessible during day and night for the local community and tourism, more than opening views to the bay it respects the local fauna including pollinator plants and areas for seals and birds reconnecting people with nature.

In this project architecture should be a platform to promote education; through its openness education should be shown and accessible to the community. There is a balance to create between openings and creating spaces that allow for concentration and focus on work. The architecture should encourage collaboration and communication while preserving some spaces for individual ref ection and work. The school as to remain a space of hard work but has to acknowledge its role as a second home for children. The school should be a space where children feel valued and supervised in their path to reach their dreams. Parents should have a space where they feel welcomed and where communication is facilitated to help the growth of their kids. They should also have a space where they can come to learn, showing the example to their kids, and moreover helping in the process of being parents. The project’s goal is to question how architecture can create a school that help to learn, communicate, collaborate and bring awareness on how education is crucial in kid’s development to the entire community which will support and share this evolution.
