Tree branches rise toward the heavens, arms of the supplicants moving in the breeze; an African church congregation swaying to the gospel music of glory. A choir of birds and insects join voices in a Gregorian chant of love and praise. No stained glass windows needed to sanctify the light; the light of grace bathes me.

Praying from the soul not for gold or fortune, but offering prayers of love and thanksgiving for the present moment joy that I am part of in communion with the One. And in the silence, silhouetted by the setting sun, I say vespers. A sudden parting of the living canopy; I am engulfed in brilliant radiance; a transubstantiation of my spirit into the god light.

I am complete, at peace. The cathedral echoes with my hymn of love.
