The year 2012-2013 has again proven to be a great one for the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary of Post #18, located in East Islip. Under the leadership of President Gloria Morck, they were named the National AMVETS Local Ladies Auxiliary of the Year at the recent National Convention held in early August in Las Vegas. Along with this very prestigious award, the Auxiliary was the recipient of several other National awards in recognition of their ongoing work throughout the community, for veterans and families in need. President Gloria and Auxiliary members are very pleased and excited over this tremendous honor bestowed upon their Auxiliary for the third year in a row. Congratulations to all!
