Senior advocates are County representatives who come out into the community and assist seniors with information gathering, completion of eligibility or recertification applications and referrals to appropriate community agencies.

Advocates assist with the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP – formerly known as food stamps), Medicare Savings Program and Heating Emergency Assistance Program (HEAP) applications. IB Diploma Student Recognition Night

The Bay Shore High School International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma program held its annual IB Diploma Student Recognition Night to honor the high school seniors who have completed the necessary requirements to qualify for the IB diploma.

Essay research paper title was announced. An IB graduation stole was placed on each diploma student’s shoulders to signify their completion of the IB diploma requirements. The light blue stole will be worn at the graduation ceremony to acknowledge their high academic achievement.

Community Service Hours – Middle and High School students can earn community service hours by bringing in travel size hygiene products. Four items will earn students one hour of community service. These products will be used in the library’s clean

cabinet for our community members in need. Please bring your items to the teen or children’s desk.
