Change Hydraulic Fluid Change hydraulic fluid after every 400 operating hours, under normal conditions. If fluid becomes contaminated, the system must be flushed. Contaminated fluid looks milky or black when compared to clean oil.

1. Turn engine off and raise hood. 2

2. Disconnect hydraulic hose from filter head or remove hydraulic filter and let hydraulic fluid flow into drain pan. When hydraulic fluid stops draining, connect the hydraulic hose or install new hydraulic filter. 3. Fill hydraulic tank with approximately 3.5 gallons (13.2 liters) of hydraulic fluid. Refer to Check Hydraulic Fluid. IMPORTANT: Use only recommended hydraulic fluids to fill hydraulic tank. Other fluids could cause system damage.

4. Install hydraulic tank cap. Start engine and use all hydraulic controls to distribute hydraulic fluid throughout the system. Also check for leaks. Then stop the engine. 1

5. Check level of fluid and add enough to raise level to FULL mark on dipstick. DO NOT OVER FILL. 2
