Early Newspaper

The transition from the early year newspaper and modern newspaper is that pictures are added so people can be more interested in buying today's newspaper.

Modern Newspaper

Johannes Gutenberg’s printing press drastically changed the face of publishing. In 1440, Gutenberg invented a movable-type press that permitted the high-quality reproduction of printed materials at a rate of nearly 4,000 pages per day, or 1,000 times more than could be done by a scribe by hand. This innovation drove down the price of printed materials and, for the first time, made them accessible to a mass market. Overnight, the new printing press transformed the scope and reach of the newspaper, paving the way for modern-day journalism.

Who is Johannes Gutenberg’s Yahoo images

A designer and specialist from Germany who pioneered a printing method using flexible type. An oil-based ink that could be sufficiently thick to adhere well to metal type and transfer well to vellum or paper, as well as another press, likely modified from those used in the creation of wine, oil, or paper, for applying firm, even pressure to print surfaces, are thought to have been components of his development. The European technique that was in use at the time for stamping letters on a variety of surfaces and for woodblock printing lacked any of these characteristics. It was thought that Gutenberg's printing press was a sign of how technology was changing, opening books to the public, and starting an "information revolution."

The cultural impact

In Europe in the early 17th century, newspapers developed as an independent cultural form. It is associated with the early modern period and saw the rise of urbanism, international trade, and political parties and institutions. The earliest newspapers carried news about politics and business, but printers soon realized that more people would read these stories if they appeared alongside entertainment and gossip. Daily newspapers have flourished here for over 150 years. In the 20th century, most of the Western world could not survive without them. But newspapers are at risk. New media formats in certain parts of the world are not only more accessible due to their speed and accessibility, but are considered more trusted sources of news than print media.
