WE CAN DO IT – on the way to social entrepreneurship

A training course that gave an insight in what social entrepreneurship is, understood more cultures, gave an opportunity for learning, English language development, made new friendships and contacts for future trainings and networking.

During this training course we also had a public speaker from Cardet. He gave a good insight of what his organisation works on, while he also gave a thorough knowledge of how to write and disseminate projects.

We had a public debate, which helped us face our fears and speak in front of our colleagues. It was not easy for many of us as it was our first time. But we managed! We had support from our trainers and also from our fellow participants.

We were given various challenges in order to understand what difficulties people face, we stepped out of our comfort zone, in this way we could wear other people’s shoes. We also learnt the difference between equity and equality, which is not usually much highlighted in other trainings and in the educational system. It was an eye opener in order to understand more society and its needs.

Through drawings we could express our thoughts, our reflections. Some of us had language barriers but through art therapy we could understand more who we are and who we want to be. After a week of learning what social entrepreneurship is we found that drawing our own mandala helped us absorb more our learning journey.
