Annual Training Earns High Praise Months before NCF’s 20th Anniversary events unfolded in November, staff members went to work to design a daylong annual training that would be different from any other. One of our key goals was to have participants leave with the feeling that NCF’s annual training is a “must-do.” Affiliated fund leaders consistently tell us that the best thing about an NCF training is the chance to learn from their peers. The day’s agenda offered plenty of that to the record crowd of 173 participants. Affiliated funds were grouped together based on geographic regions for an exercise that enabled people to get to know a little bit about a lot of folks in a short amount of time. The regional groups stayed together as each affiliated fund created its own graphic history, which proved to be the most popular activity of the day. Fund leaders appreciated learning what other
