minigrant

The GSEA is excited to offer a mini-grant that connects with, showcases, and supports LGBTQIA+ youth, adults, and advocates in the area of each November's annual National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) conference. Launched in 2020, the mini-grant is made possible by GSEA membership funds.

For the 2024 convention, the GSEA seeks nominees in Boston, MA or nearby areas. Preference will be given to those working in education and/or literacy (including youth!).

Each year, a portion of GSEA membership dues support a mini-grant program that connects with, showcases, and supports the efforts of people and/or groups advocating for LGBTQIA+ youth in the location of each November's annual conference of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). For 2024, we are looking for nominees from the state of Massachusetts, including NCTE's host city of Boston. Please spread the word, nominate, and/or selfnominate!
