arding head coach Dr. Greg Harris enters his ninth season at the helm of both the Bison and Lady Bison soccer teams. A four-time Gulf South Conference Coach of the Year honoree, Harris has directed the Lady Bisons to four GSC Tournaments in the last six years and the NCAA Tournament in 2004. He led the Bisons to their highest win total since 2003 and two GSC Tournament appearances. The 2001 season was Harris’ first as head women’s coach, taking over for Dr. Terry Edwards. Each summer, Harris works several prestigious soccer camps, including Duke, Texas A&M, UT Chattanooga, and Vanderbilt. Harris has also been a head coach with the Arkansas Olympic Development Program since 2003. Harris will also served on the Olympic Development Program Region III staff in 2009. A native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Harris started playing soccer when he was eight years old. A goalkeeper throughout his playing career, he was all-district, all-region, and all-state in high school and went on to play at Queens College in Charlotte, N.C. While at Queens, he co-authored a national shutout record in which he and another goalkeeper combined to blank 14 of 17 opponents in a season. While in college Harris worked as an assistant coach at a local secondary and junior high school. In 1994, Harris came to Harding University to earn his master’s degree in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. While at Harding, Harris played soccer for the club team on campus. After completing the degree in 1996, he worked in three different psychiatric hospitals in Little Rock, Ark. Harris then enrolled at the University of Louisiana at Monroe to work on his Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy. He received his degree in the summer of 2006. Harris is married to the former Anissa Campbell of Omaha, Texas. Greg and Anissa have a daughter, Kadyn, and a son, Kaynan.

stablished in 1924 as a liberal arts college, Harding University, with an enrollment of more than 6,300, has grown into the largest private institution of higher learning in Arkansas. Harding offers more than 90 majors in pursuit of 10 baccalaureate degrees, ranging from science and engineering to graphic design and theater. Graduate and professional degrees are offered in education, ministry, business administration, marriage and family therapy, counseling, physician assistant studies, and pharmacy. With a long-standing tradition in overseas opportunities, Harding gives students the opportunity to attend study-abroad programs in Australia, Chile, England, France/Switzerland, Greece, Italy and Zambia. Athletics plays a vital role in campus life, and Harding’s facilities are among the finest in the South. The Clifton L. Ganus Jr. Athletic Center, completed in 1976, serves as the hub of the athletics program. The 82,000-square-foot structure houses offices, classrooms, locker rooms, a 25-yard natatorium, a gymnastics room, a weight room, handball-racquetball courts and a 5,200-seat gymnasium with Pro-Turf surfacing and an indoor track. Adjacent to the Athletic Center is the 6,000-capacity newly remodeled First Security Stadium, which is encircled by Ted Lloyd Track, a 400-meter, nine-lane latex track. Rhodes Field House (3,000) has been extensively remodeled and became the home for the intercollegiate basketball and volleyball teams in 1997. Harding has been a full member of the NCAA Division II since 1997 and moved into the Gulf South Conference in 2000.
