The Kingery and Botta families joined forces to open the Ruddy Duck Tavern in June of 2008. Bill Kingery and Fabian Botta brought more than 35 years of experience in the restaurant business, although both have diverse backgrounds, making a perfect balance that is reflected at the Ruddy Duck Tavern. The restaurant features a complete menu, from appetizers, soups, salads, hamburgers and sandwiches to sophisticated entrees and everything in between in addition to a blackboard full of daily specials, making Ruddy Duck’s a preferred destination in Carteret County The men and their wives, Susan Kingery and Silvana Botta, focus on providing great quality food and generous portions at a reasonable price while supporting other local businesses in the process. The recent winner of a People’s Choice Award at the NC Seafood Festival has found its home on the Morehead City Waterfront and locals and visitors are certainly glad they did.
