NORTHDALE CIVIC ASSOCIATION COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER What You Need to Know. I like to introduce this new section as part of my “President Letter” article. Intent is to provide you with valuable information regarding our community. • Greetings to all Northdale residents and homeowners. I hope everyone is doing well and in good health. If you just joined our community, the Northdale Civic Association, Inc. (NCA) wants to take this opportunity to welcome you to the greater Northdale community. Northdale is a highly respected, low crime, family-oriented neighborhood that offers residents many amenities. Northdale businesses offer a wide variety of goods and services. Meet the Candidates Night. I hope many of you took the opportunity to learn more about local political candidates that participated in the Meet the Candidates Night on Thursday, July 28th, at the Northdale Park Recreation Center. The event started with a Meet and Greet and then, Candidates took turns introducing themselves and later participated in Q&A session with local homeowners and business representatives. Community-wide Garage Sale: The NCA will hold the fall Communitywide Garage Sale on Saturday, October 15th, 2022, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We hope many residents will take advantage of this opportunity.
Disaster Preparedness. Hurricane Season kicks off, June 1 through November 30. Hillsborough County Emergency Operations Center is urging residents to prepare for incoming storms by building supply kits and having a plan. I want to remind residents that the official Deed Restriction documents for each village are available on the community website www.northdale.org. They are the first place to look for answers to what is, or is not, permitted. If you’re still not sure of the answer, we’re here to help.

contributions to the NCA and to the community. Mr. James (Jim) Salgado for his many years of service on the NCA board member and duties as the NCA VicePresident. Likewise, the NCA want to extend our thanks to Alicia Moreno who has moved on from her duties as the NCA Secretariat and has now turned over her duties to Destiny O’Brien, one of our newest NCA Board Member. "Thank-you" Jim and Alicia for job well done and helping achieve our mission. Welcome new Board Members. On behalf of the NCA, I want to take this opportunity to say, “hello” and welcome you to our NCA Board members. Destiny O’Brien; Jesus E. Blasquez; Anthony Rodriguez and Graham Batte. We are very pleased to have all of you as part of our NCA Board of Directors. In closing, it is this board’s intention to not only act as a transparent organization, but to set best practices and support the entire Northdale community. We also need your help and highly encourage all members or potential members of the association to contact myself or your community representative with any questions, concerns, or suggestions. We invite residents to attend NCA Board meetings. They’re held the 3rd Tuesday of every month, except in December. Meetings begin at 7 P.M. at Northdale Park in the Bill Castens Gymnasium.
