The NCA has published its Annual Plan for 2020/21. Informed by our enhanced understanding of the evolving threat to the UK from serious and organised crime, the Annual Plan sets out the NCA’s operational priorities for the year ahead and how the NCA will lead a whole-system response to serious and organised crime.
The Home Secretary reiterates that the NCA’s principal objective is the relentless disruption of serious and organised crime (SOC) through targeted action against the highest harm SOC offenders and networks. She sets three strategic priorities for the Agency: to reduce the number of victims of exploitation: this includes Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking and Organised Immigration Crime; to reduce the impact of SOC on Communities including from the threat of firearms and drugs and to reduce the harm to individuals, the UK Economy and Institutions from economic crime - the main threats under this heading includes money laundering, fraud, and cybercrime.
