Teeth whitening The session - hints and trics

Important - before starting a session Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not have their teeth whitened. Similarly this procedure is not recommended for people undergoing heavy treatments such as chemotherapy. Teeth whitening is not harmful to people with crowns or veneers, however the whitening results are usually less pronounced compared to natural teeth. We recommend the customer avoids smoking or consuming coloured foods or drinks for 24 hours after their treatment.

Hints and tips 1.

Having music or the television on in the treatment room may help your customer relax.

2. Some customers may experience increased tooth sensitivity after the treatment. This can occur particularly with customers who have excessive wear or loss of enamel on the tooth surface. Teeth will usually feel back to normal within 24 - 48 hours. The use of sensitive toothpaste at home can help alleviate any discomfort. 3. If at any point during the procedure, the customer reports moderate to severe sensitivity the cause may be due to a cracked tooth, restoration leakage or other undetected conditions. In this situation the procedure should be stopped immediately and the solution removed. 4. Use of aftercare such as the Naturawhite Home Kit and Whitening Toothpaste will enhance and help maintain the results after treatment.
