Located in the old town of Nakhon Sri Thammarat city, the project was designed to be an educational facility and a new urban public realm for citizens. Using the critical framework of phenomenology, the design is intended as an exercise in sensory architecture, stimulating the visitor by more than visual means. Intended to balance the huge mass of the structure with the texture of the surrounding city, the massing and micro details have been designed to work in harmony with the surrounding cityscape.

By analysing the cityâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s aesthetic aspects and signiďŹ cant landmarks, the museum design evokes both the tangible and intangible heritage of the ancient port. It creates a memorable and sensorially-stimulating display space. which will provide a new landmark for the city.

The museum also creates a new public space for citizens to use and engage with each other. The museum was designed to make a connection between the indoor exhibitions and the live public events in the courtyard . Indoor and outdoor space are intended as the cultural realm of a living city.

2 Floor Plan Height regulations in the Old Town have impacted the project as the Building is limited to 12-metres.

The plan, while being inspired by the linear nature of the city, has created an open courtyard in which to hold cultural and other activities.

Linear City Nakhon Sri Thammarat has a linear layout, which organically created a north-south axis.

This links all the city attraction and sacred spaces Old Town Old Nakhon Sri Thammarat outdates the modern Thai nation. The ancient city wall still exists in parts and there is residual evidence of the layout of the ancient city Green Space Public parks and green space are rare. Outdoor communal space for citizens to enjoy for recreation is lacking.

Wat Phratat The main temple of the city is the gathering point for citizens on signďŹ cant days in the Buddhist calendar.

Site The site is located at the edge of the old town. It is on the site of part of the old City Wall demolished in the modern era due to safetfy concerns.

Project layout The building is designed to pay respect to Wat Phratat, the most significant city landmark. The surrounding landscaping is creating a green area and space for leisure activities.

Material The old name of the city - Tam Pon Linga - means ‘copper linga’ after a Brahminic fertility symbol. Copper is used as the essential representatives of city prosperity which based with brick, layer by people of the town.

Exhibition Route The exhibition route connects the two buildings, running in a circle, which will lead the visitors back to the main lobby, cafe and museum shop.

Parking Lot

Long Section The section shows the height and exhibition of each room. The leading exhibition space is the 4th exhibition room, which gives the best views and information about the city and expresses its civic ideals.

To mitigate the necessary scale of the elevation, the design includes a facsimile of the Old City wall interposed between the passer by and the building itself.

The recreated city wall, plus the concrete and glass of the elevation provide texture and complexity to oďŹ&#x20AC;set the simple form of the museum building.

An economy class condominium project in the Thai seaside city of Pattaya is comprised of three low-rise buildings. Balancing the aesthetic, function and maximum sale area, the buildings were positioned around the courtyard, giving the biggest leisure area as possible.

The building style was inspired by the neo-classical style in creating a luxurious and relaxed atmosphere. The details were simpliďŹ ed and focused on element details such as railings and tenements.

Project Layout The layout was designed to maximise built space and a large leisure area for inhabitants.

Elevation Design The neoclassical facade is designed to create a luxurious but simply styled building. The tenement and column were added as a means to evoke the style.

Fitness and spa The building is designed to be a sunken unit, located at the heart of the project.

The classical elements were added with the glass and metal to inspire a change of feeling for the inhabitants.

Museo de Arte de Lima

Competition Project Typology: Musuem Competition Location: Lima, Peru Year: 2016 Collaborators: Piyanut Nithiworrachi, Tarnrawee Tangsiriudom

The competition was for the extension of the modern art museum of Lima, in celebration of 200 years of the Peruvian capital. The competition asked the designers to design a new building next to the old heritage building of LAMI - Museo de Arte de Lima.

The design was inspired by the ancient citadel Machupichu. The sunken court and underground building were created with the intention respecting the old museum. The layered plaza will allow people to take a broader view to enjoy the city and nearby park.

Perspective The layered plaza gives a new perspective for people to view the city. At the same time, the sunken court helps the building gain natural light and builds a connection between interior and exterior

Project Layout The layout of the site links many signiďŹ cant areas within Lima City. By connecting the regions and passages, the pathway and design of plaza are formed. Inspired by Machupichu, the layers of the square appeare as shown.

Exhibition Route and Service Route The exhibition is designed to connect interior and exterior space. The outdoor court (number 5) will give visitors an experience evoking terraced mountain sacpes of Peru. Meanwhile, the service zone penetrates every layer to support the exhibition.

Zoning The museum consists of 3 diďŹ&#x20AC;erent zones: Museum, support and education. The entrances of each are separated. Meanwhile, each zone has its own court for the natural light increasing sustainability.

Long Section The section shows three parts of the museum: exhibition, support and educational areas. The museum is designed to create a sense of intrique and fun that represented the complexity of Lima.

The education courtyard The triangular court give a dynamic sense of space.

Enhanced by red translucent material, the learner will be energised.

The exhibition outdoor court The courtyard is designed to boost the ventilation and natural light of the museum.

Tree House Competition Competition Project Typology: Mixed Use Residential Project Competition Location: Durban, South Africa Year: 2015 Collaborators: Piyanut Nithiworrachi The project is located in Durban, the third most populous city in South Africa. The competition asked competitors to design the mixed used which integrated into the city and connect the area of the community.

The design was inspired by the resilience of South Africaâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s people.

As the demands and lifestyle diďŹ&#x20AC;er for each inhabitant and the simple wood structure becomes the basis for the adjustable residence. Each ďŹ&#x201A;oor can be adjusted and the community is able to decide the use and size of the common area. The same applies to the units which can be altered at the wishes of the inhabitants.

For the plaza, we were concerned about the linkage and connection of the pathways. The gathering space is big enough for a local community gathering and big crowd participation in an event.

Hotel Interior Nakhon Sri Thammarat, Thailand Underconstruction 2018

Located in one of Nakhon Sri Thammaratâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s most naturally scenic parts, the project consists of 40 rooms of 3 diďŹ&#x20AC;erent types. The owner aimed to give a new experience of luxury within a playful environment for visitors.

Representing the city with a luxurious, clean atmosphere within the natural area, the designs encourages the visitor to relax with the premise. The arch and curves were added to give a smooth and friendly aspect. Nature is integrated into every area, even the hotel rooms to support natural engagement.

The reception desk is at the centre of the entrance area with the waiting space surrounding it gives a symmetrical grand access for the hotel.

Reception and Waiting Area The element of copper is added to give a reďŹ&#x201A;ection and a luxurious atmosphere to the area. The use of real wood and plants provides nature feeling to the public space.

Type A Room The bed is rotated to face the outside, giving a unique view of nature. The design of each item of furniture is embed with details of nature.

Type B Room The room oďŹ&#x20AC;ers a diďŹ&#x20AC;erent seating area for alternative experiences within the room.

Type C Room The biggest type of all oďŹ&#x20AC;ers 2 queen size beds with a large living area. The Middle table is designed to give a sense of separation between living and sleeping area.

Lub D Hostel - Siemreap

Hostel Project StudioQube co., ltd.

Typology: Hostel Collaboration Coordinator Location: Siem Reap, Cambodia Stage: Finished Construction Complete Year: 2018 Collaborators: Pitchapa Lothong(Main Designer) Supervisor: Kamonnut Ariyasriwattana Lub D Hostel is one of the best hostel chains in Thailand. The site is narrow and hidden but connected to the main street by the small area. The project is a collaboration between the firm and the owner which is intended to offer the best experience in youth-style hostel.

The project was inspired by the famous floating village of Siem Reap. The colour and details were selected to create an atmosphere for the backpackers.

Besides being co-designer, I represent the firm in presenting the project to the clients and the collaborators in Cambodia. The project was finished in the year 2018.

The project is a collaboration of the traditional pub owners which helps them to promote and to adapt the business to the younger generations.

With our help in taking photo and designing the online portfolio, combining with historical data and pubsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; legacy, would bring the people from all around the world to learn the history through an unique ornament and recommended beverage within the historical premises.

According to the current situation of the British pub, all of history and decoration with these bars might be destroyed or oblivion from the earthâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s surface. The millennial and young generation are the future customers who could save the living history and we believe that we could do something regarding the issue.

From Deciding Bar diagram, we found that the young generation is intimidated by the exterior decoration(which sometimes is a charm of this pub), and with the photos, taken by mostly older people seem to be not attractive enough and low in quality, would prevent the younger generation who relies in customer to customer review in their decision.

Furthermore, we founded that more than 90% of people who denied to pay by card were likely not to go back to the same bar again. However, without data collecting, the pub would not know that they lose their client according to the deal.

As shown in service innovation circle, feedback is essential as it could develop and adapt the service to satisfy the change of today world. Believing implement the feedback channel would help them collect the data and could help them decide what to change or what not to be changed according to whatever the owner chose.

In promoting the creative city, most the nations implemented the top-down decision investment, which in many cases, it led to the gentrification and displacement.

This project aims to explore the way to benefit the grassroots from the creative economy and future development.

The project investigated the real site in Glasgow, Govan, which is considered as a poverty area with many social issues. With future investment, the local citizens question the benefit of this government plan. However, the project found that for a better result, civic engagement is necessary and as the local organisations have worked on the issues and could be promoted as the touchpoints as well as creating a sense of community. With the existing local-based, the People Engagement Process Plan is proposed.
