Become a Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Corporate Partner

Who we are…

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity that is committed to preservation of our environmental and cultural heritage. National Trust Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary proudly celebrates over 70 years of operation and is an iconic part of Gold Coast history. As one of Queensland’s earliest nature-based tourist destinations, the Sanctuary is the physical embodiment of everything the National Trust represents.

Our History…

The Sanctuary was established by bee keeper and flower grower, Alex Griffiths who started feeding the wild lorikeets to prevent them from attacking his garden. The wild lorikeet feeding soon expanded to what is now the Wildlife Sanctuary set on 27 hectares in the beautiful beachside suburb of Currumbin. The Sanctuary is owned by the National Trust of Australia (Queensland). The Trust is a membership based charity that is committed to protecting, conserving and celebrating environmental, built and cultural heritage. The National Trust also operates the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital that cares for over 10,500 wildlife patients a year. This free community service operates with the kind donations and with the assistance of corporate partners.

National Trust Currumbin to Cooktown Driving Trail

Your Journey starts here…

There is a unique opportunity to partner with National Trust of Australia (Queensland) on a new and exciting driving Trail. We have developed the Currumbin to Cooktown Driving Trail encompassing the amazing Queensland towns in our vast State. This gives potential sponsors access to a State-wide audience, enticing travellers to take a driving adventure of a lifetime. This presents a perfect brand fit for organisations that embrace adventure, travel and the great outdoors. Signage is prominent in the main arrival area of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and could be branded ‘proudly supported by …(tagline)’. This would give very prominent branding in the sanctuary with a large billboard style sign in the lorikeet arena near visitor services that would give exposure to the additional visitors of the complementary lorikeet arena as well as park visitors.

Currumbin to Cooktown driving trail is a 5000 km round trip targeting the travellers embracing caravanning and camping. This could be cobranded and distributed as a new and interesting driving trail as well as in conjunction with caravanning and 4 x 4 publications and travel guides. We could invest this in printed materials to be promoted as well as basic cobranded signage per property. Any additional signage could be considered at larger commercial properties including joint video content and to be shown in our new theatre, you tube channels and social media platforms and potentially other collaborative advertising to promote the Trail. This will also feature in our members Trust magazine that gets distributed 3 times a year to +75,000 members, and would feature on all of our heritage property brochures – approximate distribution 250,000 throughout tourism offices, accommodation suppliers and attractions Statewide. This will also be featured in each of our electronic newsletters with a feature property each month.
