THE CATALYST The Catalyst is our new ground breaking facility that is home to the UK’s National Innovation Centre for Ageing and the National Innovation Centre for Data. The building hosts a suite of bespoke facilities and a range of flexible office space. This will enable the creation of a tightly coupled and supportive ecosystem between the innovation centres and commercial organisations with a focus on either delivering new insights through data analytics or delivering new products and services which help us to age well, for longer. The city-centre location provides easy access to regional, national and international transport links.

THE HELIX The Catalyst is part of the ÂŁ350M Newcastle Helix development, a new innovation community that brings together business, communities and world class researchers. Helix is an exemplar of sustainable urban development which combines prestigious commercial and residential space with first class innovation, commercialisation, research, education and engagement facilities in the heart of the city.


SHARED FACILITIES The Catalyst has a wide range of meeting spaces, from small huddle rooms, through to large meeting and video conferencing facilities which are easily booked through our online and at-room booking system. There is a beautifully designed bespoke Boardroom available for hire with amazing views across the city and its own private break-out area. Perfect for your presentations, interviews, client pitches or training for your company. We also provide a number of meeting spaces and conference rooms and can supply catering and other services to ensure you have everything you need.




SHARED FACILITIES The Theatre has been purposefully designed to provide an intimate cinematic experience. The stage boasts an engineered wooden floor and there is seating for 175 people, 23 of which are disabled/carer access. It features performance lighting, high quality sound, the choice of single or dual projection facilities and the ability to film and stream talks. It is ideal for all kinds of talks, presentations and conferences. The Theatre is available for hire and start/finish times can vary. The Catalyst has an innovative insights suite, with discreet cameras and a one-way mirror, which is ideal for businesses wanting to develop and test new products with the public in a welcoming and relaxing environment. Our Workshop is a large event and product demonstration space, designed with total flexibility and functionality in mind. An inviting space with full height windows, it features a large AV screen, in-built functionality to film and stream presentations and easy-to-access power and data sockets throughout the room. Fitted with commando sockets and water drainage points for demonstrating and testing prototypes, it will easily accommodate up to 75 people in cabaret layout for larger workshop activities.
