Andy Derr Receives 2022 Outstanding Young Professional Award › › › › › › › › › › › › ›

The National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM) named Andy Derr of M.H. Eby as the recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Young Professional Award. This award recognizes the accomplishments of young individuals in the trailer manufacturing industry.
Andy graduated from Messiah College in 2010 with a degree in Engineering and soon joined M. H. Eby as a design engineer. After a few years of experience, and spearheading some major design projects for the company, Andy was assigned management of the Engineering Department and soon took on other roles within the organization. Andy’s broad understanding and interest in the enterprise as a whole, and his enjoyment of process improvement and innovation made him an ideal candidate to move into the role of Operations manager in 2020, where he is involved with all aspects of Eby’s manufacturing business.
Andy’s engineering background and keen attention to detail has made him a valuable contributor to NATM’s Technical Committee and Board of Directors. Andy was appointed to the Board in 2021 and immediately jumped in with a fresh perspective and new insights. It was Andy who came to NATM staff and volunteered to give a workshop on the importance and value of the Compliance Verification Program during the 2022 Convention & Trade Show.
NATM looks forward to Andy’s input and expertise as he continues to help shape the future of the Association and supports the industry. ■
