VORSHEER INC Proves Fun and Safety Can Go Hand In Hand

Erin Mohwinkle, NATM Marketing Coordinator

Though VORSHEER has only been in business for 3 years, a number of employees have an additional 6 years building overland trailers prior to working for VORSHEER.

Combined there is more than 60 years’ experience building overland trailers. With their experience and willingness to participate and learn from leaders they have shown their commitment to quality adventures for their consumers.

We spoke with David Rodriguez, VORSHEER LLC General Manager, to learn more about their Utah based trailer manufacturing operation. Adventure, freedom and quality are the three words he used to describe their company.

With in-house CAD design specialists, VORSHEER trailers are creatively designed with a specific purpose. At VORSHEER, they love to see and hear about the amazing adventures customers have with their trailer. According to Rodriguez, “The overlanding trailer industry is showing a lot of strength. With recreational vehicles being in high demand generally, it’s a great time to be small manufacturer of trailers and supply the market with the vehicles it demands. The growth we have experienced, and our projections for future growth, give a lot of encouragement looking forward.”

VORSHEER has taken advantage of all that the NATM membership provides. When speaking of the Compliance Verification Program (CVP), Rodriguez stated, “We appreciated the NATM inspection of our facility and inspection of our trailers. It is nice to have NATM validate our trailer design and manufacturing.”

VORSHEER has also been very active in educational seminar participation and joined the conversation with Government leaders in the Regulatory Round up. “It was helpful to have a voice regarding regulations that

affect our industry. By sponsoring such events and other efforts like this, NATM provides a valuable influence hub where we can all connect and act as one industry.”

Rodriguez went on to say, “NATM has been a great resource for us where we can ask questions and get support for things like compliance and regulation. Being a member of NATM also offers validation with our dealership network since being a member provides reassurance that our overland trailers are compliant with NHTSA.”

Though they have had to work through supply chain issues many have also been experiencing, their growth has been tremendous. Because of this and other factors, they have been able to set up an impressive dealership network with great coverage throughout the western US.

Rodriguez ended by saying, “As we continue to innovate and be an industry leader, we anticipate considerable growth and expansion. We expect VORSHEER will be a Household name like Jeep or Toyota. We also intend to pursue an IPO when our growth has reached that point.”
