Building Confidence In Trauma Stricken Children Important-National NGO It is important to build the confidence level of the inmates in a shelter home. The children come to such homes in such a dilapidated condition that they lose confidence in themselves.

The children would have experienced hunger, and stayed on the streets and fought the natural elements and would have even faced death. Yet such children have survived such bad conditions.

All these experience would have taken a toll of their confidence level and built a fear in their minds. It is really important to overcome such feelings only then they will be able to learn the other vital things about life which will become helpful for them in the future.

Building confidence in such children is not an easy task. The volunteers at the NationalNGO have a hard task at hand to handle such children who have undergone a lot of stress and trauma.

For that they deploy special counsellors so that they instill good values and remove the fear from their minds. Their mind is diverted to other tasks and activities so that they learn something.

Actually each child has some inbuilt talent. With such activities these can come out and then they are encouraged to do these activities like singing, drawing, painting and so on.

When they are able to perform and do something creative they gradually build confidence which enables them to forget their bad days. Slowly they will come out of this trauma and then become normal like other children.

This is a really difficult task for the caretakers and other people working at the National NGO. But they have been doing this kind of work and have got many children to good health by their sheer hard work and dedication, The work of the volunteers is not an easy one but when they see how the destitute are benefited and are able to learn something that helps them build their future they also get motivated to do more such work and help more children.
