HP Career development frameworks (CDF) show the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for all roles across the business.

Our Career Development Frameworks (CDF) aim to inform, guide and inspire you at every stage of your career. CDF’s provide:

Common language and reference points for discussing performance, achievements and progress; Guidance and inspiration for learning and development; One place to combine a number of different documents and frameworks so you can see what is expected for your role more easily

There is a CDF for each role in the firm. They are single documents that contain an overview of: core skills and knowledge required for your role the behaviours required for your role ideas for career development addition, fee earners will find a technical competency document relevant to their area of specialism.

Lastly for Fee Earning Roles there is a further Technical Competencies document, which details any additional technical knowledge or experience required specifically for your area of practice.

Each Fee Earning Role has a Career Development Framework which details the technical, operational and commercial skills required. It also includes suggestions for ongoing goals you could consider to support with your personal development and career development.

There is also a breakdown of the DNA expectations which describes the way you should be delivering our values and behaviours in that role.

Lastly, the CDF has suggestions for ongoing goals you could consider to support with your personal development and career development

Each Support Role has a Career Development Framework which details the technical, operational and commercial skills required for the Withinrole.this document you will also see links to a further document which contains details of the specific behaviours expected for the role.

There are lots of different ways to use the Career Development Frameworks to support your development:

• Look at the CDF and see what skills you need to develop to meet the competencies. You can set these as personal objectives in your next half year review

• Managers can use CDFs to define the training required for their teams
