Bidwell Chiropractic Offers Disc Decompression Therapy Bidwell Chiropractic, in Moorestown, is now offering disc decompression therapy—a nonsurgical treatment for spinal injuries and spinal pain. Decompression therapy effectively relieves the pain associated with disc herni ation, degenerative discs, stenosis, posterior facet, sciatica, headaches and other spinal-related syndromes by reducing the pressure on spinal discs and facet joints to relieve nerve pain. Research shows that decompression therapy has a high percentage of preventing those with low back and neck pain from having to pursue disc surgery. By employing this new therapy, an osmotic interchange of fluid can be used to speed healing of the disc by up to 71% and heal it in less than 100 days, versus 300 to 500 days needed for healing without treatment. Decompression therapy begins with a series of sessions, typically two to three times per week, based upon the severity of an individual’s symptoms. Most patients experience relief in just one to two treatments. Every day, Bidwell Chiropractic focuses on total wellness through natural organic ways to improve activities of daily living, without medication. Their mission is to teach the community and the world about wellness care— one individual at a time.

Location: 212 W. Rte. 38, Ste. 100. For more information or to schedule a consultation or an appointment, call 856-273-1551. Accepting patients of all ages. See ad on page 21.

Why We Give Event to Be Held in Mount Laurel A Why We Give event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon on March 20 at Rowan College of Burlington County, in Mount Laurel. Why We Give is a gathering of S.J. women’s organizations that have philanthropy and volunteerism at the heart of their mission. This Women’s History Month event is a partnership of diverse local groups that include Impact100 South Jersey, Moms Demand Action, The Jewish Community Foundation, India Temple Association, Continental Societies S.J. The event’s focus is two-fold. The two panels, Why We Give and How We Give, will showcase a diverse mix of local women’s giving initiatives and foundations. “Giving back is about community, which can be defined many different ways. There are many communities of women quietly making a difference in South Jersey. Unfortunately, they don’t know the other communities exist. Our goal is to introduce these groups to another, and eventually open the door for potential collaboration and greater impact,” says Kyle Ruffin, chair of the event.
