NATURE AS MUSE FOR INSPIRATION, artists in Grades 4-8 looked to the works of British environmental artist Andy Goldsworthy who, inspired by nature, creates art using natural materials. His land art sculptures are intentionally temporary and left in their environment. For this art challenge, students acted as collectors, sculptors, and photographers, gathering materials from the environment to help demonstrate balance, contrast, line, and shape. The result: breathtaking works of art inspired by nature, seamlessly integrated into the natural world.
