We'reteaminguponceagainthisyearwithMicrolinkPC(UK)todeliverthe AssistiveTechnologyTestandLearnTrainingProgramme
ThisDfE-fundedtrainingisdesignedtoencourageeducationpractitionerstouse technologywhichtheyalreadyhaveavailabletothemtoreduceorremovebarriers tolearning.Itbuildsonasuccessful2022Pilot,whichreceivedexceptional feedbackfromparticipantsandledtoinstantbenefitstothelearnersintheir settings.
Theresponsefromthesector-withover3timesasmanyapplicationsasavailable places-demonstratesacleardesiretoreceivetraininginthisarea.Shortlistingfor thefinal150maintainedmainstreamschoolsinEngland iswellunderway,and offerswillbemadenextweek.
Successfulschoolswillgoontotakepartinamonthly60-minutetrainingsession, deliveredbetweenMarchandJuly,helpingimprovethewaytheyuseATtosupport allofthechildrenandyoungpeopletheyteach,includinglearnerswithSEND.Andif you'renotsuccessfulthistime,pleasedolookoutforourfollowupcommunications, sowecankeepyouuptodatewithfutureopportunities.

DevelopedinpartnershipwithRealGroupTraining,andfundedbytheDepartment forEducationaspartoftheUniversalSENDServicesprogramme,thenewunits exploreLanguageandCommunication(SLCN)andSocial,Emotionaland MentalHealth(SEMH).Thefirstthreeunits,basedonSafetyandBelonging,were releasedinOctoberandwhichhavesincebeencompletedbyover1,200 practitionerswithconsistentlypositivefeedback.
