The statue of Unity faces the Sardar Sarobar Dam which is situated in the southeast of Vadodara city and is approximately 100 kilometers away. Materials used: In the making of the statue of Unity, almost 129 tons of iron, 12,000 bronze panels, 70000 tons of cement and 25000 tons of steel were used.
