Actor/Producer/Director/Philanthropist Carl Anthony Payne, II

Carl Anthony Payne II, a successful actor, producer, director, two-time NAACP Image Award-winner and People’s Choice Award-winner, was born on May 24, 1969 in the small town of Clinton, South Carolina. He began working towards his acting career at a young age by studying at the First All Children’s Theater, which was an off-Broadway repertory theater company. He later attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City. Payne continued his education and training at Howard University in Washington, DC.

Payne is best known for his recurring roles as Theo Huxtable’s best friend “Cockroach” on the ever popular and classic NBC hit series, The Cosby Show and as “Cole Brown” on the FOX network TV series Martin. Payne stays on top of his career by not allowing himself to be stereotyped or pigeon-holed. He continues to display his versatility on screen by playing roles such as Reynaldo St. James, on the popular BET series The Game, to renowned producer L.A. Reid in VH1’s TLC biopic. He can currently be seen on the Nickelodeon Network TV series, Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan and in the feature film “Strange Love” streaming on Amazon Prime, which he also directed. He has directed and produced music videos, web series and short films, all while continuing to showcase his stand-up comedy in numerous cities across the country.

Payne has remained relevant amongst his peers by his continued pursuit of excellence. Comedian & Actor Marlan Ballard

Originally from Lorain, Ohio, comedian and actor Marlan Ballard became a stand-up comedian around July 2012 when his mentor, Chauntae Wayans, discovered him. He hit his first stage at The Punchline Comedy Club in Atlanta, Georgia and his comedy career has soared since then.

He’s worked with well-known comedians and actors, such as Paul Mooney, Ron White, Rodney Perry, Chris Tucker, Affion Crockett, Karlous Miller, Justin Hines, The Wayans Family, and more. He’s currently on the Fresh and Funny Tour with Brandon T. Jackson.

Marlan spends much of his spare time performing at local comedy clubs at his home in Atlanta, Georgia, such as Uptown Comedy Club, The Laughing Skull, and more. His commentary, roasts, and stand up have been known to have the audience in tears from laughing. He’s received rave reviews wherever he has the opportunity to perform.
