GRADUATION BOOKLET 2019

Welcome My association with Edinburgh Napier began as a mature student in 1988, when I decided to return to formal education in search of a new career path. I was 28 years old. It was the wisest move of my working life, and with all honesty I can say my time spent at Edinburgh Napier changed my life. In 2011 the University awarded me the title of Honorary Doctor of Arts and today it is my responsibility, and privilege, to welcome you in my role as Chancellor of this great institution. Today is about you and tomorrow even more so. I hope these past few years have offered you food for thought, hope, inspiration and of course a greater understanding of your chosen subject. We equally have learned from you. I hope you continue on your path for greater knowledge and understanding

in the years to come. As titular Head of the University, I offer my personal, and the University’s sincerest congratulations and thanks for all your hard work and commitment these past years, and likewise to those who have supported and believed in you. Today you do not leave us. Today and tomorrow you continue to play a proud role in our University’s history, our story and our hopes for the future. Go forward with our sincere best wishes and respect and remember… “Without wisdom, all is in vain.” David Eustace
