The Napa Valley College Distance Education Office promotes student success in online and distance learning classes, on the main and Upper Valley campuses. The Learning Management System known as Canvas went live in 2016; from 2017 to the present, Distance Education, led by María L. Villagómez, has made exceptional strides in online and distance learning technology.

Some classrooms at Napa Valley College are completely online and can be accessed from anywhere, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Anytime/Anywhere also applies to our Canvas Help Desk, there are knowledgeable staff members available to provide online support to students anytime of the day. • •

Location - Distance Education Office is located in the the McCarthy Library, RM 1732. Technical Support - ask for asssistence at the Library Help Desk, or contact the Distance Education Technician. Canvas Workshops - Distance Education offers semesterly training events for students to learn the ropes of our Canvas LMS and showcases the newest features and applications that are being used.
