CARDS OF THANKS

Thank you...two small words that mean so much. On June 8th, Mom, Lila Brooks, passed away peacefully at Village Green. We would like to thank all of the staff there for making her last month as comfortable as possible. Your care and concern for her were second to no one. She was with you for 37 days, yet you treated her like she was your Mom and that meant the world to us. Aunt Marg, you were with us Saturday night at Village Green, as we knew you would be, thank you for all your love and support. Nancy and Chris, thank you for coming over on Saturday night when we arrived home. We are so lucky to have such amazingly wonderful friends. To our neighbours, friends and family who brought food, made donations, sent flowers and cards and took the time to pay your respects, thank you. To Lindsey Hannah and Maureen Way at Hannah Funeral Home in Napanee, thank you for all of your guidance and assistance at this difficult time. The service was perfect. To Agnes Thompson and Rev. Bill Perry, thank you for your words of comfort and remembrance at the Service. Emily, Carly and Ryon, thank you for your special support after the Service. Having the three of you to lean on and walk with meant the world to me. Your Aunt Lila would have been so proud of you! To the pallbearers, Paul McEwen her son-in-law, Tim Brooks, Mark Brooks, Greg Brooks, Tyler Brooks and Roger Hinze her nephews, thank you for taking her to rest beside Dad. She is happy there. Always remember she loved each of you very much. The last year has been a hard one for all of us. To my sisters at NDSS, thank you. You have shared in my tears, you have given me advice, you have held me up when I needed support. You are simply the best and I love each of you dearly. To our amazing coworkers at NDSS and Steinpatz Furniture Restorations, thank you for your compassion and understanding and for the beautiful flowers sent in remembrance of Mom. Thank you to Dr. Carl Lee, Nicole and Elaine for always being available when Mom needed you. To Debbie, Sharon, Chantelle, Kristyn, Sandra and Melanie from Paramed, we thank you for helping us to keep Mom at home for as long as possible. You always treated her with gentle care and compassion and you helped Paul and I with our questions and concerns. Our community is blessed to have your services. A special thank you to Dennis and June Bartlett and Wayne and Joanne Mathews for always watching out for Mom while we were at work. We are so lucky to have you for our neighbours. We will never forget the many kindnesses shown to us during this heartbreaking time. If we have forgotten anyone, we are sorry. Please know that each of you have helped to ease our burden. She was a wonderful Mom. We were so lucky to have her at home with us for the past nineteen years. We will miss her for the rest of our lives. With all our love, Valerie and Paul McEwen. The family of the late Irene Dixon wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to relatives, friends and neighbours for their kindness. A special thank you to The John M. Parrott Centre for the excellent care that mom received while she was there. Thank you to Rev. David Dyer for his message and a special thank you to Mark and Sharon Alton for their music. Thank you to the Wartman Funeral Home for their professional guidance and compassion.
