Synchronize Outlook Data with Yahoo Mail Account

A lot of users use the Microsoft Outlook to meet their professional and personal needs. However, such users also prefer to use a personal email such as Yahoo Mail. Instead of accessing them separately, you can easily access them together using Outlook only. All you need to do is synchronize your Yahoo Mail account with Outlook. To know how to synchronize Outlook with Yahoo Mail account, follow the step-by-step instruction mentioned herein.

Steps to Synchronize Yahoo Mail Account with Outlook 1.) Launch Outlook on your computer and click on the File tab located on the upper-left corner of your Outlook window. Then go to the Account Information tab under the File tab and select Add Account option.

2.) Select Manual setup or additional server types option and then click on the Next button.

Choose POP or IMAP option and again click on the Next button.

3.) Now, under the POP and IMAP Account Settings window, you will need to make following changes in your Outlook account.     

Type your name and email address in the User Information field.

Choose IMAP as your Account Type.

Incoming mail server: imap.mail.yahoo.com.

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com.

Type your User Name and Password under Logon Information. Make sure to select Remember password checkbox.

 

Go to More Settings and select Outgoing Server tab.

Under Outgoing Server tab, select both options o my outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication o Use same settings as my incoming mail server.



Next, go to Advanced tab, and make the following changes: o Incoming server (IMAP): 993 o Incoming server encrypted connection: SSL o Outgoing server (SMTP): 587 o Outgoing server encrypted connection: Auto After that, click Ok to save settings and then click Next.





Now, you will be prompted with a Test completed successfully message.



Complete the process by following the on-screen instructions.



Once the setup gets completed, get back to your Outlook account, you will see your Yahoo Mail account appearing in the Outlook’s window.



Now, you can easily send and receive emails from your Yahoo Mail account using Outlook account only.
