Welcome Ramadan, the holy month of the year!

As you prepare your soul to celebrate and get in the spiritual mood of Ramadan, prepare your home and dazzle your family with a spiritual yet cozy “tent feeling” decoration.

The welcoming table is the main focus as it gives the desired atmosphere once seen. Set it with lanterns, flowers, and “tasbih beads,” along with Ramadan’s goodies (dates, dried fruits, nuts, cutout shapes, candles, etc.) and a Ramadan greeting quote and table cloth.

Set the dining table with colorful tablecloth, along with the plates and coasters that are decorated with Arabic patterns and calligraphy, and spread some cutouts on the table.

Use the famous “khayameya” cloth all over the place, in either hanging banners, throwing some cushions, made from khayameya, here and there and throwing some of the cloth on the tables, or making a tent.

Let your kids help and do paper lantern hangers or cutouts with Ramadan motifs (crescent, mosques, lanterns, stars, etc.) and distribute their art work in the space.

Make Ramadan calendar boards and let your family countdown with you the remaining days. Why not surprise them with food cut in shapes that represent the Holy Month and give food a new appealing look.

Put the dates in jars and set them for your guests or spread the joy among the poor and send them out as cute little gifts.

Distributing lanterns (Fanous Ramadan) around and lighting fixtures having Ramadan’s motifs will also enhance the theme.

What’s more beautiful than having family and friends around in this Holy Month!! Let them enjoy being in your home and fill it with joy, prayer, and love.
